Imperiex is a single based mini and Abin Sur from the fast forces can use the special carry ability with him.
Now, if I enter inside Aerial Buffler's range, it gains earthbound and stop carrying Imperiex; next turn, since Abin Sur is earthbounded and with the foot symbol, Imperiex can carry him.
My question is:
Can Imperiex take him wherever is he going or when he gets out of Aerial Buffler range Abin Sur gains flying and gets on his feet once more since he is not earthbounded anymore? And also if Big I has to drop him during his movement, where does he drop Abin Sur?
A character that gains Earthbound as a result of the Aerial Baffler may be carried. However, that character will regain flight as soon as it leaves the Aerial Baffler’s area of effect and must be dropped at that point.
So as soon as Imperiex leaves the Baffler's area of effect, Abin Sur would no longer be carried. He would be placed in any square adjacent to Imperiex that he could normally occupy, just like any other time a Carried character is placed back on the map.

Actually if Imperiex leaves the Baffler's area of effect, then he couldn't have been carrying Abin prior to that moment as Imperiex would also be effected by the object.
While it would be legal in this scenario to declare that you are carrying Abin, as soon as you take Abin off the board, he is no longer effected by the Baffler and would thus be placed in a square adjacent to Imperiex. At most this would gain you a 2 square displacement for Abin.

Imperiex has neither the or symbol. Aerial Baffler has no effect upon him. He is carrying Abin (or whomever) via .

As you can see in the bit quoted above from the PG, this is simply not true. A character under the effects of the Aerial Baffler can potentially be carried, so long as it remains within the area of effect.

Earthbound changes all symbols back to , etc... So Imperiex wouldn't be anymore

Again, Imperix does not have or .

Aerial Baffler has no effect on Imperiex.
Sometimes I forget they need wings to gain the Earthbound from the Aerial Baffler.
Though, if Imperiax were to gain Earthbound he'd gain the

Can you explain how this reconciles with the Carry rules? The bolded bits seem problematic.

When moving as a result of being given an action, this character may carry one friendly character. When this ability is used, modify this character’s speed value by –2 until the end of the action. Only characters with a combination of the following symbols can be carried: . If a character has any other symbols or is holding an object it cannot be carried. To be carried, the friendly character must be adjacent to this character at the beginning of this character’s action. When this character ends its movement for the action, the carried character must be placed in a square adjacent to this character. While being carried, a carried character is not adjacent to any character nor can it draw a line of fire until placed at the end of this character’s movement for the action. A character which has been carried this turn can’t be given an action (other than a free action) until the beginning of the next turn.
I may be misinterpreting, but it sure seems like the only times Abin Sur's abilities are relevant are at the beginning of Imp's movement, when his symbols are checked for eligibility, and after he has been placed at the end.
When Imperiex leaves the Baffler's area of effect Abin Sur isn't adjacent to him, and isn't until the end of Imperiex's movement.

It reconciles because the PG tells us to do that and so we do it. Kind of arbitrary, sure, but at their core all rules are arbitrary to some extent: we play this game the way we do because the rules say so

Yeah, but it was a ruling before it was entered into the Player's guide, and it was ruling I disliked then and don't like now. It seems to fly in the face of too many other rulings where the relevant qualifications are only checked at the beginning of an action.
But my dislike does not really count for much. : - )
For the record, the PG entry is clearly outdated. I'll see about getting it modernized.
The intention of what the ruling is is quite clear, but the lexicon of the game has changed since the entry was added.

1) "Flight" doesn't stop someone from being carried.
2) Seeing as how the carried figure physically remains where he is during the movement and is then placed next to the guy at the end of the movement, it never actually leaves the area of effect of the Baffler.
