The judge tonight and the judge last night both agreed with me. A light object thrown is how many damage? 2. Caps shield is how many? Not 2. What is caps range? 0. Whats his range for this attack? 8 I also perplexed up his range to 10 to surprise the crud out of my opponent in both games.
Guess I wasn't wrong after all (@ least in my case).
Any "game" where there is a judge, is hard to be wrong. Hence the word "judge".
Unfortunately you and your judge are wrong.

Actually, you were wrong in at least 2 different ways.
1. Enhancement has no effect on the damage of a thrown object, because thrown objects don't use the character's damage value, which is what enhancement modifies.
2. You can't Perplex that figure's range up to 10. He has a printed range of 0, so you could only get it to a 3 with modifiers. Throwing an object, once again, does not use the character's range value but uses a seperate, fixed range (not a combat value). That range is 6 squares for a heavy object or 8 for a light object.

To say a judge is wrong... is wrong. Lol. But again, this was not my ruling. This was 2 different judges at two different locations. If you would like their e-mail to gripe to them I can provide such. :P

I'm with Red King on this one.
The judge is the final authority at his event, sure.
However, the calls that these judges you mention made were not in line with the official way that this should have been ruled.
The way it should be ruled is that Enhancement will have no effect on Cap's Shield.
I say publish their home addresses here. It'll make it easier to send out the Heroclix police.

I think you're misunderstanding the intent of the posts here.
To point is not to "gripe" to your judges, the point is to provide a CORRECT ruling on the situation. You bumped up a thread that had been dead for several months after the correct ruling was given and proceeded to give an incorrect interpretation of the rules.
You've now had 2 official rules deputies (and several other good posters here) explain what the correct ruling is, from the rules. What you chose to do with that knowledge is up to you.
