I just got the Time Gem from our local venue and had a question on it.

The time gem states "Character can use Incapacitate and Super Senses"

If a character with impervious picks the time gem up can said character then use Super Senses and if it fails fall back to Impervious?

Yes, you can. Look at it this way. You should want to dodge (evade) the attack rather then try to see if you can shug it off (Impervious). So yes, you can use Super Senses, if it fails, use impervious.

Yep, when hit roll super senses. Then when dealt damage roll impervious.

Yes you can use both. One makes the attack a fail while the other reduces all damage.

You can only use one Damage Reducing power at a time.

If you couldn't, then *this* guy would be a very sad panda indeed!

Wow thanks for the answer guys. I shudder to think what a 450 point Adam Warlock with 19 Impervious Defense AND Super Senses would be like.

Anyone know if the Time Gem itself or the powers it grants can be outwitted?

Nope. Gauntlet lets you use powers. The powers are never possessed.

Also, there exists no way to counter a Resource or the effects of a Relic. However, note that they're still game effects, so Pulse Wave will still ignore them.
