I am happy to report that our 1st ever Bring Your Own Game (BYOG) Night was a success thanks to an awesome team effort between everyone who planned and attended it! This is the crew that was at the event:

One major hurdle that we had to face was the fact that we found out at the last minute that this year there was no gaming area at the Convention Center. Never mind that one of the WW Philly event organizers had confirmed otherwise. This left us scrambling for a venue to hold the BYOG, and were extremely fortunate that Truffle Shuffle and her crew agreed to let us use their suite at the Residence Inn. It was cozy, but we were all able to gather there and proceed to have a blast!

The second challenge we faced was finding an open restaurant close to the Residence Inn that delivered pizza. The front desk at the hotel gave us the name of a place, but it was not within walking distance. A HCR Members Away Team headed by K-Ness decided to walk around downtown Philadelphia and forage for pizza. Alas, we came back empty-handed. Kedryn saved the day by treating all of us to dinner - after we placed an order for three pies plus breadsticks with the the pizza joint that the hotel had recommended to us in the first place! (Shout out to K-Ness for bringing back soft drinks back to the BYOG, though. Yours truly provided the cheap beer.)

Anyhow, towards the end of the BYOG, The Darkstone took off to attend the WW Philly at the Field House Pub and we managed to get one group shot right before Sstralkowski had to hit the road back to Amish jungle country. That's the photo in the OP.

The party ended, we traded hugs and good wishes, and then we went our different ways. Some of us ended the evening at Woody's, a local club which deserves its very own story thread.

I think that for next year we will make sure that the event planning is even better and - who knows? We might even be able to have our own tee-shirt design (if I get the project off the ground with a little help from my friends.)

I won Munchkin. I didn't win Zombie Dice or Poo. Only Chicka and you won Zombie Dice, and ThisLullaby won Poo.

And no one drank the soft drinks! I gave one of the cokes to a homeless man!

Thanks for the corrections, K-Man. I have updated the list. I had forgotten that Lullaby was the best at both handling Poo and smacking Nuts. (To JoH2005 - that girl is a keeper, dude! )

As far as the soft drinks - I took some of the diet Coke back to the hotel. Guess that PBR > Coke for me that night. LOL!

I like how you guys tried to make Stan, Charles, and Pax look like they're not tremendously short people.

Let's set the record straight this note, Thawmus. It is true that Pax and Stan decided to stand on the couch for the photo op. However, I am not standing on the couch to try to appear taller.

It's not my fault that I decided to stand right next to Tyroman, who once auditioned for the part of Peter Dinklage's stand-in on Game of Thrones. And I suggest that you take care not to mock Tyro's stature - for we all know that a Lannister always pays his debts!
