Theme team and extras

Question -

When I make my 400 named themed team, if I have points left over after I get my four guys with the same keyword, can I put just anyone else on that team and still have a theme team?

No, every member of your team must share a named keyword. Use your leftover points to add the team ATA (if there is one) to every member of your team.
