Bruce Wayne morphing into Batman or The Dark Knight
Two scenarios I'd like to ask about.
1. The Dark Knight has been KOed. Can you replace an in-game Bruce Wayne with that figure?
2. Can Bruce Wayne use his replacement power with a currently active Batman or DK? Say Batman is on one side of the map facing a powerful adversary and is beat up pretty badly. Can Wayne "replace" himself with the active Batman, essentially placing Batman on a different click and different part of the map?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on these matters.

Yes, absolutely.

No. You can only replace him with a figure not currently in use.
After the 1t of July, will you still be able to replace Bruce Wayne with a KOed Dark Knight ?
I believe no, although the wording isn't exactly clear, so different judges might interpret it differently. I would so no, though, because of this line: "When assembling your force, you identify these replacment characters although they are not yet on your force."
I can see a case being made the opposite way, though.
I would say you have to bring your entire force to the table before the game begins so any replacement characters must be set aside and identified before the game begins, and ko'd characters would not count as replacement characters since they started on the map, and not to the side, off the map.
What do you do with KOd characters? Put them on their KO clicks and put them beside the map, generally. I don't see any reason you couldn't AE a figure into a KO'd figure that had formerly been on the map.
Might not mesh completely with the OP, but I was playing a team battle the other day, and someone had Magus/Adam. He had Magus sitting on click one, opposed to his K.O.
Someone mentioned that new rules dictate you can no longer leave a clix on anything but the K.O clix if they are going to be an A.E/Replace figure?
Think it is kinda silly, I can see the point in terms of Magus/Adam as they have no "AE" line...but in terms of Banner AE into a Hulk, Rick Jones AE into..they always start on the line, so whats the issue with leaving the intended A.E sitting on it's clix off the map?
My point being if the rules say it must be separate and off the field on it's KO clix, wouldn't that prevent you from using a part of your force that was KOed?

The new rulebook defines what replacing characters are on page 6, and I don't think KO'd characters fit the description because they are identified as you assemble your force before the game begins.

Consider IH Bruce Banner, who can AE into 3 different figs. If you have all three sitting off to the side on their orange starting lines, you can compare their starting clicks before you decide which one you want to AE into. This gives you an advantage, similar to clicking your dial ahead before deciding if you want to push or not.
"Things which might lack clarity now will be sure to reflect those intentions."
