I played him recently (of course with Lt. Gordon) and he was all I expected. Tearing through higher point characters from stealth. Super performance. Getting based will cause some worry (as it does with any figure who relies on stealth for defense.) But pound for pound he easily earns his keep and more.
Sucks that his trait does not work with Captain Gordon. I don't see why they couldn't have included him. Oh well I guess I will have to get my hands on one of the new ones. Anyway this batman is crazy good. I still prefer the lampost batman but for modern age this is my go to for batman. I wish he could have a special power instead of charge that states "Batman can use Charge and Leap Climb." Would have been more comic accurate and made him more playable. Sculpt is cool. But overall 2nd best batman in the game for the points.
I didnt think much of him on paper, but played him yesterday in 1500. This guy is solid, and one could argue thet he is the best batman to date. Paired him with Lt. gordan from the set for mobility and a better chance at hitting. The map had almost no hindering terrain, so token placment was crutial. overall he was very fun to play because of how many options he creates for the player.
This Batman dominates if played right. I played him with Lt. Gordon and a full Gauntlet and wrecked. The Space Gem helps out his movement by giving him phasing and the carry ability and the Power Gem boosts that penetrating damage. He looks fragile, but he can also straight up dominate. Awesome Batman.
Not to pick your point apart, but how many figures aren't really good to great with a full gauntlet? On it's own, this figure is quite tough. I watched a friend charge (voluntarily pushing) and then flurry (yeah, I missed, he perplexed his DV by 2), and then leap/climb back to support (Blackest Night Atom is a pain). Only to charge back in a few turns later.
Ra's Al Ghul: "Your mentor is slain. You are wounded. You haven't the slightest hope of foiling my plans. Why continue to resist?"
Nightwing: "I dunno. Maybe they just raise 'em stupid in Gotham."

I agree with you about the Gauntlet. But one of the Batman's problems if you're using him with Lt. Gordon is, you always wanna keep him in hindering terrain. Yet he doesn't have L/C top dial, meaning he'd have to half his movement. The Space Gem fixes that problem, and gives him carry. Making him MUCH better than he already is IMHO.
Not arguing that the Space Gem makes him better, of course it does. I am getting sick of seeing people running the Gauntlet everyday though. I get it: it's awesome! But man, it's getting old fast.

As much as I don't particularly like mixing universes, this piece is a magnificent herald of galactus. Flight fixes slot of his initial movement problems, and he gets +1 to all his values on top of his built in -1 to defense (because come on, if you can have this piece in hindering WHY ON EARTH WOULDNT YOU) and a power cosmic/stealth character is never to be trifled with, especially one that deals penetrating damage even to people who are immune to psychic blast and exploit weakness
Just played him with the Lt Gordon from the same set. Insane combo. Just move the two partners into the hindering terrain available (or next to it in Gordon" case) nearest to your target and BRING THE PAIN ! One of the top Batman ever made.
You know everyone loves to be the villain. Hugh Grant
this guy is a monster on a good police team. i never had to roll higher than a 4 thanks to the PD TA. the abundance of perplex that police teams offer kept his damage at a 5. that strike from the shadows power should have been called, ''f it im using a gun!''
