Really need help with mindcontrol. recently while playing a game my friend and i where using characters with mind control. I always believed that when you used MC on a clix with no tokens they gained one. as the power enabled you to have a free action added to your total. the same being tru for a clix with only one token would then be pushed and have two tokens.

so far so good, right?

but i was under the impression that when a clix had two tokens they could not be mindcontrolled? is this correct?
My mate says as its a free action you can still give the clix an action?

whats the final word on this?

Under the very first ruleset, you added tokens to a Mind Controlled target. I believe this was changed with the Indy ruleset though. Ever since then, the action given when Mind Controlled is a free action, so it does not add any tokens and can be performed even when the target has two tokens.

Simple solution for future rules disputes: Hero Worship, go to the units on this site and get the latest rules and PAC for free.

Yes, it was Indy, although there is a funny wording there which was changed in Marvel Universe. Technically, based on the wording, you could only give a free action under Indy!

Infinity Challenge wording
If the attack is successful, give an action to the target character as if that character were a part of your force.

Indy wording
Assign each target one free action.

Universe PAC wording
Each successfully hit target may be assigned any action as a free action.

so theres no pushing or counters for characters that are targets of mindcontrol.
