hope someone out there maybe able to help me with an issus i have with free action powers.

so i played a game recently and a friend pushed his figure after moving him. the clix when pushed showed on the dial 'out wit' when he didnt have it before. my friend then used 'out wit' to counter a power of one of my clix.

my question is this: can you use out wit and perplex in this way even tho the power was not showing when you first started the turm?
