If you read the Annihilators books then you'd see why this version of Beta Ray Bill is pretty accurate. He isn't going full power, but no on else really is in the series either- It's more about team work.
The click itself is highly playable and the special powers are both fantastic. Tough piece to bring down with the right team.
So.....which of the Annihilators has stealth?
Sorry....but a bad and not at all comic accurate figure.
"I love man for all the potential that he holds, and hate men for how seldom they live up to it"
While there are things about this Beta Ray Bill I would improve upon, his excellent interaction with Stealth based figures is uncanny. I have taken him to two events with a Stealth based teams, and both times I have won with him. I wish that an Annihilator would have stealth, but I can't complain about his effectiveness.
I would say no. The way that I read the power, the first character that is hit would have to draw line of fire to the second character. And if the second character is in Stealth, unless the first has either the Superman team ability or Avengers Initiative, they would not be able to draw line of fire to the second character.
Has anyone fathomed the sheer power of his Cosmic Storm and Eclipse power in conjunction with an Avengers team featuring Sharon Carter? It's madness I tell you, just madness!
If you're willing to break theme, him with Darkstar can be pretty ferocious. Than maybe a Hawkeye in there. That range of his with marksman is incredibly useful.
While I like the special powers that Beta has, I wish it had some uses in a Annihilators team. Something along the lines of "Characters that possess the Annihilators keyword can use stealth if they are within 6 squares of Beta Ray Bill."
Here's hoping we get a Vanilla Ice Clix in the next TMNT set.
I love how ppl think back in the time this was the answer to Superman TA, Superman just can go and crush this bozzo. and then go for the rest for the team, if he was 125 he would be ok.
Win/Loss 5-2: As a big fan of Beta Ray Bill I was looking forward to this piece. The cost is acceptable for a guy who has gone toe to toe with Thor. The Indom is a much needed upgrade from his HoT version and I like the damage reducers instead of Super-Senses. Sadly, though, this version is fairly weak in combat once he is off his top (150 pt) click. That is disappointing. He does support a team well - and his wins have mostly come from supporting his teammates but at 150 points and being Beta Ray Bill, I want a guy who crushes opposing forces. His SP's are great - chain-lightning is hindered by the average to below average attack values. Clever team-building will take advantage of his first two clicks but afterwards he's straight forward enough for all to use. A +1 across his dial for attack value would make him an outstanding and fun piece. Still, I will use him as I wait for another try... in 2017, that try has finally come in a chase in TMT.

Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
