After playing in a tournament with the new rules last night, I am now convincesd that it's not what is in the team but how you use it that counts.

That said, based on your last team, I would certainly say you need to keep IG with Magneto and don't push him. Use him to attack the opponent most dangerous hitter, Keep Klaw in support range and snipe at targets of opportunity and get Sabretooth and Cap up front to charge anyone that tries to base Maggie.

Pilzbury, granted, Captain America is not the best piece in the game, but he wants to play characters he likes. For low cost, Cap is a nice LOS blocker and grants free move and a leadership roll...

yeah i just wanna make an army with figures i like i ain't playing any competitions at the moment, but i don't like to get wiped by my friends all the time, i want to have a solid team that can give me as many wins as my strategy let me.

why capy?, cuz i'm a big fan of the avengers, i, without even noticing tend to base my teams around the comics i like

so that is:

Avengers
X-Men
Spiderman
Silver Surfer

i'm goin to have a least 1 fig from 1 of those comics, the only fig currently in my army that is there just for the sake of being a good fig is the R-Invisible Girl (i don't like the Fantastic Four)

a team that I have found much success with is this

R- Steel -66 Only low cost fig with supe abilty +RCE
V- Jean Grey -50 TK and Support if needed!
V- Paramedic -12 need I say why?
R- Black Panther -27
E- Klaw - 74 RCE and Minion Ability!!!!
R- Huntress - 18 Batman team ability, LC and 2 click dmg out the gate

V- Live Wire -50 RCE and Legion abiltiy

Yep this is a wildcard team but I have found that this team is extremely tough to beat.

simple strategy (simple things first!) hercules and wolverine will be my main attackers i'll use the mandroid to tk em away, and the sniper team will be compose of Invisible girl, klaw and the SHIELD sniper,

May i suggest replacing R Klaw with R Cyclops which gains u an extra 5 points which lets u add in the E Paramedic

U need a medic in u're team even though wolvie has regenaration Hercules doesn't try it out an see!

i strongly recommmend to get captain america out of the game, hes to expensive and you do not need leadership, instead yo coul use v gambit, with stealth, energy explison and perplex and later ranged combat expert and you still have some point left for another element

I'd like to have the E-Cyclops, so instead i could downgrade the mandroid and get a paramedic (which i don't have either, i think i'll have to start buying boosters again!) there are figs i'm still lookin for but i still think i've made a really balanced army.

i changed the V-Mandroid Armor for a R-Jean Grey i pulled today. i still have 10 free points that looks like the perfect spot for a E-Paramedic (that i dont have at the moment)
