Question: Can LT. Nyota Uhura trait allow you to use power cosmic/quintessence TA?

And if not can somebody help me see the errors of my ways.

No she can't. PC/Q is an uncopyable team ability and thus can't be used by a Wild Card.

The Trait says it: "or a team ability a Wild Card can't use". Can a Wildcard USE the PC or Quintessence TA?? Nope, sure can't.

But...but...but what if I really wanted to? I mean....REALLY...wanted to?

Okay.... but it says, "choose a TA that isn't a Wild Card or TA a Wild Card can't use."

The way i see it is:
Example:
1.Batman/Superman/Avengers/X-men....(non-wildcards or isn't a wild card)
2.Power Cosmic/Quintessence ( can wild card use PC/Q? nope)

According the wording, I should be able to choose Outsiders/PC/Q or any uncopyable TA.

I hope Rules Arbitratior can clarify this for me. And i understand the difference between the letter of the law and spirit of the game. It just that sentence is messing me up. I just don't understand.

I think you are reading it like this:

But it actually reads like this:

Inserting the word "is" before "a team ability a wild card can't use" would make your reading valid, but the way it is now, it doesn't work that way.

You can not copy Quintesence, or Power Cosmic. Therefore you can not use them with Uhura's power.

Only figure so far that can "copy" PC/Q is Stan Lee.
