now i'm through turn 7, but at least three problems have arisen...
1) in Ms Frost's students' turn 5b, Elixir did not seem to roll for the X-Men TA... so i guess we'll presume he rolled successfully and did not take damage...
2) i have no idea how Cuckoo "Mindee" got/moved to I19. With the actions described in each turn, it doesn't seem possible. This would have had an effect if one of the re-rolls from "Mindee's" PC would have changed a result... "Mindee" should be in N18, right?
3) it looks like the digital renderings of the maps at Peers' HCUtils site have expired, which hindered my ability to clarify this confusion with "Mindee"...
well, i tried to continue with my reconstruction of this issue but discovered some more serious errors in turn 8B of Miss Frost's Students... It seems as though Jolt's Super Senses was overlooked, and Phoebe's attack would not have done 2 damage but only 1... The subsequent attack by Celeste would have missed (where she rolled a 4)... Since no-one has responded to my last two posts to this thread, i will presume that i am expending unnecessary effort and pack the board and figures away sometime this weekend...
Unfortunately, the sad thing is that resolving these issues probably doesn't matter. While X-men Academy had a promising beginning (and if a new player wanted to keep the story going from this point forward I would support it), it seems that Furbyfrank's interest in the RPSC has flagged, as is not uncommon with new players. That's why we have the probationary period after all.
Luckily, X-Academy was designed with this somewhat in mind; the core Astonishing X-men characters are still ready for RookieBatman to resume control of if/when he decides to return, and as far as continuity is concerned the X-Academy on Muir Island does still exist... Frost and Xavier are considered to be conducting classes quietly and without incident, secret from the rest of the world. These characters remain available to any future X-team players that may want to grab them, so this is a pretty ideal place for Frank to have stepped out. Much better than abandoning the team in the middle of an adventure.
