I have the Onslaught and Nemesis from the clam shells and I am thinking of trying to get more or other large figs. Are they worth getting and using? Does anyone use them in tournament or even casual play? Oh and if you were going to use them which are the best to get?

I love them in casual play, they are a bunch of fun especially the toys r us ones. I also love the new GG Galactus for scenario play, as well as Ziran the Tester. I also have mastermold, but haven't gotten a chance to use him yet. Overall they're fantastic display pieces and ridiculously fun in casual play, but may get you some dirty looks in competitive play

I am so knew I try to avoid competitive play except for the last booster draft and the keep what you kill games our local game store runs. I think one of the guys at the store has an extra Ziran. Is he well worth it for trade or cash?

Im really not a fan of the big figures. At first I was excited for them but after never actually using one I have just recently gotten rid of them. I mean galactus is really powerful and all I just never used him so I can't justify keeping them. Although I do really want the colossal pheonix figure. Even in casual games I never used even one except my watcher.

I really like that Onslaught. Overall it's a tough question. I have a 2004 Galactus, new Galactus, other Onslaught, and Ziran. I use them.......very rarely. Uatu is the only one I would use fairly often. Your mileage may vary though.

I'm a big fan of Dormammu, Galactus, and Ziran. I've gotten a lot of miliage out of those 3.

I have thought Galactus and Ziran myself but they cost a couple dollars. How good is Uatu? Good stats and great dial?

I actually think the price of Ziran has gone down a lot.

The reason being is that he dosent have to MA ability at his 300 point level...and that has affected his value. You should be able to find him rather cheap now.

I have...Master Mold and a bunch of sentinels. The Watcher, Dormammu, GX Onslaught.

They have all been played by either myself, or my friends. However, they are only used for Casual Play since I have more rounded teams for tournaments.

Out of the ones I have, M.Mold is easily my favorite. Usually in free for all games, he'll be the biggest threat. Its always fun seeing a free for all game turn into a three versus one, with a knife in the back soon to be. The watcher hasn't been played at full points, so I can't say much about him, at least not for another couple of weeks once I use my other teams that are in line.

Personally, if you're thinking of playing him in casual, I would suggest thinking about the game format you'll be using whatever figure you get. Such as 1v1, 2v2, FFA, etc. Then go through all the colossals and choose the one you think you would have more fun playing.

I have Ziran and I just picked up G03 Apocalypse. It is true you don't get to use them that often outside of casual play, mainly I've found because whatever the event is, they tend to take up too much of your point value. Also keywords are an issue if you want theme, since right now just with Apocalypse I have maybe two other figures that can do a theme with him, but it would have to be a 900 point game just to run the 3 of them.

Ziran is definitely nerfed at his 300 point dial. I've only used him a handful of times at his 600 point dial and he pretty much dominated. En Sabah Nur I haven't used yet, but he and CW Mr. Sinister would make a pretty nasty team for an 800 point game.

Eventually I do want to get my hands on a GG Galactus, Master Mold and Uatu, partly because I'd love to play them, but also I love the characters in the comics and they do make great display pieces

I have a GG Galactus and the Convention Giant-Man. I have a lot of fun playing them both. I don't get to play them super often (maybe once every two months?) but the fun I have doing it usually makes it worth keeping them.

As a personal observation, map choice can make a big difference on whether or not they are fun to play. If you end up on a map like Bizzarro World, playing Galactus is a complete bore. Other maps can be a blast. Unfortunately, it is hard to know if this will happen until you show up. Figures like Onslaught, Uatu, and Giant-man have less trouble with this than Galactus and Ziran.

I have found the lower the point value, the more often I use them. So I stick with 100pt Sentinels, Giganto and 50pt Uatu. I don't collect the 300-600-1000 pt Colossals.

The only exception is if they just look good on my shelf. (2004 Galactus, hello.)
