Y'know, spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc., go a long way toward folks taking one seriously when one uses the word "cretin."

I think this applies in general, even without the "cretin" part.

I know that my ability to take someone seriously is proportionate to his/her ability to communicate logically and clearly.

Eh, I literally do not care about spelling or grammar one whit so long as I can understand the thrust of what someone is saying. I only comment on it when someone is asserting superior intelligence.
