How is this not 5 stars? With a GCPD or Gordon in this thing it is obscene. Broken in so many ways it makes me want to rage-vomit. Can't wait to play it.
Saw a vid of glasscabinetfilms vs george massu where massu used the crusier and hell yes this thing is nasty broken. Dont believe me ask george yourself. I give the cop car 2 thumbs up
this thing is awesome if you get someone with PD to pilot it. i ran into the AVM hulk and did a click. it had a gauntlet and immediately healed that back from the soul gem... but it was still fun.
A piloted cruiser is IMO the one thematic game element that can allow a non-super "Police" HeroClix force (that usually lacks mobility and 3+ damage) hang with more typical HeroClix forces. I advise planning to pilot such that 'cuffed to the bumper' can be used to thwart mobility, but the real power is in being able to 'clear the streets': not only is it damage that sticks, but it puts opposing figures in position to be lit up by the Police.
Many great options exist for 'clearing' Pilots. I have used the AA Gotham City Detective, since he can eject to provide Enhancement for one or more buddies making ranged attacks.
I put a JL:FF Flash in it for fun the other day. 14 movement for pilot substitution with the police team ability & keyword. Oh the sheer joy of running over someone from 14 spots away was worth the price of admission! Sure, you have to drop 125 pts to make it happen, but if you are playing a large point game (we were playing 1000pts), its a great time!
I find it hysterical that the cheapest figures in the game to qualify for Clear the Streets are the Security Guard bystander for Police TA, and Criminal for Gotham City. Funny, and yet somehow appropriate, that you can run over people with a Mall Cop or a crook that jumped into the front seat...

I've definitely been the third passenger before...not fun...At least they didnt hit me with the car first and then cuff me to the bumper...
I also love using the cop car with the "Joker Gas" joker. I throw the utility belpt on him and cackle wildly as he stands on the car throwing gas grenades batarangs and flashbangs from his stolen utility belt as the car runs people over and keeps them stuck there as he joker gasses them.
Don’t like these at all. I find any piece that can take a free action to move a character and cause 1 penetrating damage (without even a roll required) to be a fine example of poor design. I never saw an issue where a cop car hit Superman and actually hurt him. Not to mention, why do the cruisers have more clix of life than most heavy hitting characters?? It seems to me that once a cop car is hit by the likes of big blue, or a giant emerald hammer, it’s not going to be much good. Just a bit too good for its points IMO.
you don't have a lot to work with daved, gauntlet/belt is best suited for the attacker in your team while you 'run' teams down with the cars, but I guess it could work if your careful with the car. GCPD cars and Bug work wonders on some maps but can take some getting used to on others.
