@InfinityWatchReturns, you "qualify" knocking someone to their last click as the same as KO'ing that figure? So what do you do when someone hits your figures within a click of KO, take them off the map and offer your opponent the victory points? The longer I have played this game, the longer I realize that anything can happen in clix. That includes figures who are nearly KO'd turning a game around for me. It also includes the fact that dice rolls entirely dictate how figures like Blade behave.
You really do include far too many "if" style conditions in your argument. "If" Blade even makes the attack roll, then "if" he rolls a 6 on BCF, "if" he gets a critical hit, "if" Nightmare doesn't make his Impervious roll, "if" there's no one to Prob Blade or "if" Blade hasn't had his special power outwitted. By your logic we should rate every single BCF character as if they were walking around with a base of 6 damage. Even better for figures with BCF/Flurry, they should get a perfect rating, right? Just take a look at Anonym0use's recent discussion of the Blade figure in the Primer Preview. He's respectable, excellent even, but he's not going to be an insta-KO.
I would actually rather pay less points for Scarlet Spider. He gives me SS, Flurry, Charge and a 20 defence in base combat. He'll be able to deal 5 (or 6 with an ultra heavy) clix to Nightmare the first time around, then drop another 3 damage on the god of bad dreams. Flurry gives Kaine two chances at it, in case Nightmare makes an Impervious roll.

Wow...your incredibly annoying. Yes when I look at a figure with a click of blades/claws/fangs I think "this figure can POSSIBLY deal 6 damage"......when I look at a figure with flurry and blades/claws/fangs I think "wow....this figure can possibly pull off 12damagea or have two shots at rolling a six!" There is nothing wrong with that, and yes...IF your a skilled player once your little grunt gets an opponent down to his last click....you should have a pot shot player lined up and ready to finish him off...or vice versa. I am well aware that a single click can get lucky and do game changing things....I have seen this quite a few times....I to have been playing long enough to witness the value of a last click......but once again....any skilled player gets a figure down to near death with one attack, odds are he has multiple other figures ready to finish the job available to him.
A good example on how a figure can really make a difference when he's nearly one shotted is the figure Jigsaw. I love that figure....he can't be healed and adds a scar token to his card for every damage he is dealt. Someone knocked him to his second to last click and then deemed him useless......I now had a 12 attack with blades/claws/fangs via his special "each scar is a reminder" and tk'd him right up to his tentpole beta ray bill. I proceeded to outwit his reducer and jigsaw hit him...and you guessed it...he rolled a 6. It was beautiful.
Not really a comic reader but was wondering why a figure with Power Cosmic TA doesn't have the Cosmic keyword. Other than that, this figure is awesome. This ASM set is simply a monster and mystic galore.
@InfinityWatchReturns: I'm glad you enjoy Blade. There's clearly nothing wrong with him. Let us know how he fares for you once you've played him against Nightmare. I imagine it would be enjoyable to see you relate an exciting match.

I think your confusing me with the other guy you were arguing with. I have no intension of ever buying the new blade figure, not that I don't like the character but he's not associated with my playstyle. I just jumped in and threw my two cents in. (Trolling) its funny how you should mention letting you know how me playing as blade would fare against nightmare......I JUST pre ordered a nightmare figure and not a blade. Lol.....I love nightmare as a click and character. I actually played with the original figure alot in modern games. The original starts with a 14 attack value, 18 defense with invulnerable and enhancement......so im overjoyed a new version is now on his way. (Especially since the original had 0 range.)
Although I do not enjoy mixing teams from different universes (Marvel,D.C.) I can't help to wonder how much D.C.'s Icicle and his 'copcicle' special would benefit nightmare. Incap without even rolling once and then nightmare heals......nice. ill never do it. Unless whizkids/NECA releases an Amalgam set. Or there is a d.c. vs marvel event at my venue. (Which has happened)
Was that really necessary? The guy disagreed with your post, and instead of just responding to the content of his post, you thought it was necessary to throw in an insult?

@InfinityWatchReturns: "I think your confusing me with the other guy you were arguing with." You have the exact same username, profile and identity as the user I responded to twice before. You're the guy all right.
@vlad3theimpaler: I wouldn't worry about it. That's the typical disgruntled reaction to a post that is full of excellent counterpoints :)
@Escape - It's not so much that he has the power cosmic (he does not), but to show how much of a boss he is. He's the overlord of the dreaming and a huge powerhouse. If you rule an other dimension, I think Power Cosmic team ability is called for. What gets me is why he's missing the Ruler keyword, lol.

Wow...short memory? Please refer to YOUR original argument against Fenir the Wolf God one page back......I simply responded to the potential of a standard power. I do not support blade 'oneis shotting' nightmare. Geesh....right when the 'argument' was dying down a donor had to bring it right back.
Nightmare was notable back in Infinity Challenge for his staggering attack values. These days, anything above 12 doesn't see print, but Nightmare gets around that using a thematically appropriate method: his attack raises by 1 for each token on his target, representing his hold over characters as they tire. With so much Indomitable in the game, it'll be easy for him to reach 15 attack with those 2 targets! As if that wasn't enough control, Nightmare dissuades pushing, as he heals when opponents take damage from a second token (consider packing a strong Incapacitate ally). To top it off, Nightmare will get his choice of maps each and every game, as no one in their right mind would choose a -1 to all their attack values the entire match. A long wait for a remake, but it paid off; Nightmare is finally as terrifying as his name.

Not so. I'd rather have -1 to my combat values than have a character with a 3x6 base unable to move all game because I'm stuck on Bizarro World. I'm sure there are other instances where the map is scarier than the penalty to combat values.

A fantastic figure all around, but disgustingly broken in sealed. There are very few answers to him in the ASM set. I ran him with Jennifer Kale at my local shop's sealed tournament and took first place without him ever dropping past click 3. Jennifer only died in the championship round against Dracula and Blade. If you pull him in sealed, play him. The only figures that can reliably challenge him in this set are Terrax and Dracula, and he can still take them if the dice go your way.
Alright, If nightmare is on his last click and a character with three damage pushes and successfully hits him. Nightmare would take net 1, but the character pushed so he heals back up one. Is he KO'd or is he still in the game?
