I think I like the rare better, but both are amazing. This version and 030 Lizard would make a great great core for any Syndicate team. Lizard can move 9 for free than charge 4 more. Or charge 5, then roll break away and move away 9 for free. Lot's of possibilities with these two.
So just so I'm clear, from the trait "Gulyadkin the Lion can be given one action as a free action." is this once per game (which is what I assume it to mean), or could it be once per turn?
If its once per turn, its probably a bit too powerful, but thought I'd see if anyone knows positively what its indicating.
No. It's once per turn. Remember, you can only make the same free action once. However, here's the scenario. Kraven is on the map. The lion gets one free action. You move Kraven, or attack with him, you can move the lion as a free action. And then the lion itself can be given an action. If you do the sequence of events right, you can alpha strike a figure in the first turn, depending on placement of your enemy and if your opponent went first. It's a little OP.

I built a Sinister Six team with this very idea in mind. Going to try it out this evening at our game night. :)
This guy is too good for the points. Extremely effective on an Animal them team. His ability to give other figures free actions was key in a game against a Sentry/Void in a 300 point match. Sentry/Void had some unlucky rolls that game though (had a chance to take out Alyosha very early in the game but missed both attacks, which obviously would have made it a very different game)
ok so i get the potential to do 3 actions in one turn with the lion but i have to ask what about the rules that prevent you from using activating the same action power in the same turn..inother words 2 move actions in one turn 2 uses of perplex for example.. i was under the impression tht only mind control could get round this with its auto reset thing.. thought this is why mole man was so good..
A charcter may not be given the same free action multiple times. As such you could give it a free action attack and power action attack, or a free move, then power action move, etc etc.
I played him today and his lion was my MVP, killing DC10th Superman, ASM Man-Thing, and tieng up ASM Blade and supersensing out of his attack, as well as Dr.Strange, and Frank Drake 2 turns in a row allowing the rest of the synister syndicate to crush the midnight sons.

If this isn't a broken figure I don't know what is. You can possibly give a 0 point pog up to 3 actions in a turn with charge/SS/Blades and a decent 9 attack value and it would cost only 1 of your actions for the turn. AND if your opponent attacks it and kills it he gets no points and basically just wasted an action and possibly an outwit to kill a 0 point pog. I tried him today: free action move action when Alyosha takes a non free action like an attack or move, free action power action to charge with blades using Alyosha's trait and then a gave him a token for a close combat action to make yet another blades attack in one turn.AND Alyosha hadn't even attacked yet!! UBELIEVABLE!!!!

How did the lion survive killing Man-Thing? The mystics damage should have K.O.ed him.
Here's hoping we get a Vanilla Ice Clix in the next TMNT set.
Tried this guy out last weekend with Man-Beast and Lizard. The mobility he offers and free Lion attacks are amazing. Out actioned my opponent every round. Super sense on the Lion were on fire lololol
