Its looking more an more that this is going to be the only non-drone Ultron in the set. Glad I have two of her. Can't wait to get some drones...imagine three of her at 90pts + one 30pt drone for a 300pt robot theme team...first turn each Ultron spawns another drone and then each drone gets a free move! So wrong!

Does anyone else find it weird that there's not an Ultron in the Chaos War set proper?

I'm a big fan of ultron, not so much of his female incarnation, but thats just an opinion. The sculpt is good, wish it was at least painted different than the drones, but reusing has become the norm.
The ability to pop out drones is cool, artificially boosting your points total. The ability to give the drones free actions is cool as well, but keep in mind that they come in at the 30 point dials, which are easily one shotted by todays standards. You have to play them very carefully or you will just be feeding your opponent free points.Why waste time going after Ultron if you are wasting your actions building drones that they can easily kill off for 30 points each? Ultron is much more dangerous when attacking. Save the parlor trick of spawning the drones for if there is nothing else you can do.

It's kind of annoying because I keep trying to get Ultron but I keep getting yet another Iron Man, or Space phantom, or Thor...Dangit!!

Well, at least I got Ms Marvel, Spider-woman, and Vision. But Ultron's the only one of the gravity feed set I don't have that I want. :mad:

The allocation of this figure in the CTD is terrible. I've seen 3 Ultrons in two whole displays. For the love of Mike...

I got lucky on mine. I bought some on the day they came out. First pick was Iron Man, and the store clerk decided to open one too. He got Ultron. When I mentioned she was my top want, he offered to trade for my Iron Man. I did, and have never regretted it since. Especially so since I managed to snag that Iron Man for fairly cheap later on.

i had tht idea. the thought of 3 ultrons and a drone to start you off. plus 4 for each drone as the game goes on i giggled like a school girl. then i read the power again to confirm what i think i already knew. "on the map"... it doesn't matter how many ultrons i got im restricted to 4 drones... dammit.
so i revised. ultron at 90 pts, dr strange 196 and a annoying load of drones anf astral's to get in the head of the opposition.. bwahahaha.

Upon release day, I split a brick of the main CW set with a buddy, and I bought a little 6 booster brick from the CTD as well. I didn't get the main set Iron man in my half, but he did so I naturally wanted it (I'm a major IM fan, even when the figure isn't too great). I pulled this figure in my mini brick, and didn't see the appeal of it at the time. Traded it for the wimpy main set Iron Man, and I've regretted it ever since. This figure can be SUCH a pain! Need to get another one!

My question is: Are you allowed 4 drones, or four of each? If I have 4 Iron Man Drones and 3 Ultron Drones on the map, can I summon another Ultron drone? Or do 4 of my drones have to be destroyed first?

Depends...did you put the drones on bikes first, thus taking them off the map and spont more drones?

(otherwise it's four drones total, say 2 of each)

An Orange ruled that EVA can't pilot because she didn't start the game on your force. Same would go for the drones.

Just thought of a decent idea and I may end up using it for AvXs last month depending on the build total: MoE to T-Bolts cause of Zemo (this part isn't really necessary), and have her pump out drones for King Hyperion to rage on or Zemo to Mastermind on. I can't think of any reason why this isn't a good idea.
