There's a roster of writers I'll definitely check out when they start something new, too. But for characters that I follow... heck, even Darkhawk couldn't make me try Avenger-kids Murderama or whatever its called. And I even read good things... but I just can't do it. But the things I hear do make me try to stay open to whatever Hopeless does next.
Also, you gotta stick with Hawkguy!
AA Murder-rama, isn't that bad, sad to say. Dark hawk (CHRIS) isn't dead ......yet.
I will be buying issues of "Hawk-Guy". Always been a Whackos fan. On your say, of course.
First trade just came out. No one took me up on my offer, so if it doesn't work out for you, send it to me.
I wouldn't do that anyway but I think you know that.
Also meant to add: Threshold: The Hunted to titles I'm picking up. It's Giffen telling Cosmic. Worked for Annhilation. It's working here, too! Captain Carro......I mean K'Rot is back!
Well, as others have suggested, pair down to your favorite version of a particular hero or group's titles if possible. Keep Conan and the Shadow ( I don't read them regular, but you like these heros, and they help fill that spot).
I won't plug for Cap or Thor, though I have enjoyed both so far, I will however plug for Atomic Robo. It fits a nice cross between pulp, hero, scifi, fantasy, humor. It is also pretty self contained. You can skip one mini series and grab the next if you need to or want to. Several series are even largely self contained in each issue with only a general overall theme for the series. Seriously, try a tpb out or even better the free comic book day issues, comixology has all of them as far as I know. It is a welcome break from Marvel and DC, and as a fellow lover of Conan/Kane/John Carter/Shadow/etc I think you would enjoy it.
