This week Steve and Jeremiah discuss their Manthing/Howard Teams, Steve cheated but not really since his Howard/Manthing never got to merge...did I just type that? Other stuff is discussed. I apologize in advance.

This podcast just goes to show you the best of us can make mistakes...well maybe not the best of us, but those in a hurry. My Manthing/Howard team, when seperate was legal, but if they ever merged it would have become an illegal team.

When I originally built the team I was planning on using the 150pt Manthing, but somehow I had converted him to the 100pt one in my final total without realizing it, until Jeremiah and I were discussing this on the podcast. I only got to play the team once, and it hadn’t mattered since he had been turned into a man-puddle early on in the game and never got to merge. Had I gotten to merge him I then would have been playing an illegal team.

I feel like such a Newbie. I will chalk it up to having a very long work week, being sick, and having a ton of work ahead of me.

That being said, the podcast kinda reflects this....but you will want to tune in next week, “hopefully next weekl” for we will have some interesting news from Wizkid’s President Justin Ziran!

I want to run a man-thing swamp-thing team with a tank turret for 299... Who else would qualify as a swamp monster, or maybe a tree monster, besides Groot?

Dice switching... I worry they are switching in and out weighted dice myself going between two different pair. When they use a whole pack of like 10-20 dice that are all the same, Im ok with that. But when it is two specific sets, I want to hold them at least and make sure they weigh the same. Many times I have picked up other players oversized red dice and one weighs a lot and one weighs very little. I then request they use real dice lol

The dice I WISH I could switch are Heroclix online dice. I cant roll over a 7 unless the other team has prob it seems to me.

Maybe next podcast could be about making Marvel teams that are capable of beating DC teams? I hate it when DC chews me up alive. It is as if dial points cost less on DC then they do for Marvel, making Marvel less powers for more points and DC is more powers for less points. Kind of annoying.

As I've stated, and it may be a bit pricey, but I love the combination of Ultimate Clayface, Gravity Feed GG Dr. Strange, and 200 point ManThing. The combination of break-away nullification, two VERY good poison SPs, and ranged protection via Strange is a hard shell to crack.

Best applied in 500+ games, of course.

Last weekend I played in a 600 pt open event. Absolutely everything was legal, including promos. Had to be theme team.

I played the team as representing the issue where Howard the Duck teams up with Manthing and Jennifer Kale and her allies to "save a world he never made..."

My team (theme was Mystical) was :-

Man Thing and Howard the Duck (duo)
Jennifer Kale
Ian Nottingham (dressed as Korrek the Barbarian)
Scarlet Witch (35pt Flight version) (aka Dakimh the Enchanter having a crisis of Identity...)
Stan Lee (promo) - who wrote many early tales involving the participants
Josh Wheedon (promo) - to make a film of events, so there is FINALLY a good Howard the Duck Movie.
We played 4 rounds. I lost all of them, but had the MOST fun. Stan (using his special ability) transformed into Hikaru Sulu in 2 of them, taking down Wolverine when I was up against Avengers Prime and their support squad !

One does not simply blame the dice, it makes the dice gods angry.

I am loathe to switch dice midgame, fearing that I will do so right before my luck would have changed. I used the same pair of dice for years, often rolling either a 3 or one less than I needed. Recently I've had much better luck with the Gencon HC dice and Harpua's Rush dice.

Thanks for conveying the team that I made you in exactly the way it should be, Jeremiah. I appreciate that you even included the Howard the Duck accent that I put into my write up on the team.
