For the seventy-eighth episode, join Adam Chapman (comic reviewer for Comics & Gaming Magazine, cXPulp.com) and his guests Nathan Struk and Tom Kerr as they sit down to talk Heroclix.
The first half of the episode focuses on news from the last month, as we look at Teen Titans previews, Fear Itself previews and WizKids Convention Exclusives. In the second half, we break down and review the rules changes that came from the updated PAC
You may have already discovered this after you finished recording, but the answer to your simultaneous HSS/Plasticity question? Ms. Skrullvell. Not to mention Stealth on that SP as well for the trifecta.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton
Again guys great show. I really enjoy Tom's opinions because Hulk is my favorite marvel character too and I agree with pretty much what he has to say. Teen Titans is actually proving to be a bit of a better set than I thought. I pulled a Trigon which I really wanted. He's a great demonic villain. He will look good sitting next to my Dormamu.
I just wish it wasn't new 52. I'm a huge fan of Perez's era of titans. But you are right DC likes to have more control with the HC releases than marvel and they seem to want to pretend that there wasn't a DC universe before new 52. Which brings me to a point when 5 plus years pass are they still going to be calling it new 52? At that point it isn't very new anymore. Lol!

That's a rationale a lot of people like to hang their hat on, though I don't think there's any greater control exercised by DC than Marvel. Titans presents a challenge for WK in that once you go through their most popular eras (original, Wolfman/Perez era, Johns era), it's a steep dive for recognition of characters associated with the others. That's why they settled on a heavy dose of DCnU. It's a better chance someone recognizes the Ravagers over any previously unclixed Titan who gets a "who's this?" reaction on the Realms.
Heck, even the Psions, who debuted in the Wolfman/Perez era and appear through the pre-DCnU, have people wondering who they are and whether they're generic or not (not just on the podcast, but on a separate thread).

Thanks for bringing that up, I hadn't realized that until you mentioned it. And that is QUITE the trifecta.

Glad you enjoyed the show, plus Tom's presence on the show. I have to admit I like some of the characters in the Teen Titans set a bit more now that I've played in a sealed tournament with some of the characters.
I understand the need for it to be the New 52, but it's a shame as the Teen Titans brand owes the most to Wolfman/Perez, not to mention Geoff Johns in the modern era.

You do bring up a good point, GQ, in that although I may not like the New52 Titans and related characters, there's a better chance of there being name recognition with some of the characters because at least it's a current series and active characters, as opposed to some of the forgotten Titans of yesteryear. I mean, seriously, Red Star is not exactly the most popular Titan.
