Question came up today in a game.

ORACLE: MOVING THE PIECES INTO PLACE: Give Oracle a power action and choose another friendly character that shares a keyword with her and has no action tokens. That character is immediately given a move action as a free action with their speed value halved for this action.

So the character your giving the free action to is base to an opposing character can you still use the free action and try and break away and move?

Yup, you sure can. And if you fail the free move break away roll, you could then give the character a normal move action to try to break away again.
