That works just fine. Outwit can be used any time during your turn, including the beginning of your turn. Poison activates at the beginning of your turn. The beginning of your turn phase doesn't end until you take a non-free action. Since it is your turn, you can choose which order to resolve the actions. So you can use Outwit first, and then use the Poison.
EFFECTS THAT OCCUR AT THE BEGINNING OR END OF A ROUND OR TURN.
Before the first player takes his or her turn in a round, effects that occur “at the beginning of a round” resolve. When a player begins his or her turn, first resolve and end all effects that last “until the beginning of your turn” or “until your next turn”’, then resolve all effects that occur “at the beginning of your turn”. Game effects activated by free actions with a description stating that the effect may be used “during your turn” may also be resolved during the “beginning of your turn.”
OUTWIT Give this character a free action to counter a power or a combat ability possessed by a single target opposing character until the beginning of your next turn. Any game effects with a duration specified by the countered power or combat ability are removed. A character using this power must be within 10 squares and line of fire to the target.
POISON At the beginning of your turn, give this character a free action and deal 1 damage to each adjacent opposing character.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
This helps to make red hulk a standout piece. I especially enjoy when someone else outwit's an opponent's defense and he uses his super poison. It's brutal.
When you outwit a white power on a targeted character, where the white power actually has perplex and probablity control, if you damage the target, but now the target shows only perplex, is it still outiwitted?

No. When you Outwit a white power you're Outwitting whatever the white power is called. It doesn't matter if the white provides a regular power like Perplex or something unique and wordy.
They groaned, they stirred, they all uprose, Nor spake, nor moved their eyes; It had been strange, even in a dream, To have seen those dead men rise.

The white power was outwitted that grants prob and perplex. The character takes damage and no longer has that power visible in his dial. He now has perplex. Was perplex outwitted? No it wasn't. You damage him again and he is now on the white power is it outwitted? No it is not. Outwit effect last as long as that outwitted power is on his dial unless that character loses that power after taking damage and he is no longer on that power or if its the beginning of your next turn or if you lost outwit from being countered or took damage and you no longer have it.

It is possible I have misunderstood you, but if not you have an error here.
I Outwit your "Bullet Proof" which gives you Invulnerability. I hit you, and on the dial now is actual Invulnerability. I outwitted "Bullet Proof", not Invul, so Invulnerability is not countered. But if I hit you again and the dial turns back to "Bullet Proof" it is still countered, because the effect of Outwit does not end until I lose Outwit or the beginning of my next turn.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I think he was going through the full spectrum of abilities: white power with Outwit and Perplex, just Outwit, and just Perplex. Countering the first will have no effect on the second two.

That would be true. However, this is what I was responding to:
The white power was outwitted that grants prob and perplex. The character takes damage and no longer has that power visible in his dial. He now has perplex. Was perplex outwitted? No it wasn't."
OK, this is correct.
"You damage him again and he is now on the white power is it outwitted? No it is not. Outwit effect last as long as that outwitted power is on his dial unless that character loses that power after taking damage and he is no longer on that power"
Unless I'm just misunderstanding him, this is not correct.

Many people confuse what happens to the Outwitted person with what happens to the Outwitter.
If the person being Outwitted turns the dial and no longer shows the countered power, that power is still countered. If the dial turns again and the countered power reappears, then it remains countered.
If the Outwitter does that with his Outwit, then the first time the power is lost, the effect ends, so even if Outwit shows up again it does not kick back in.
I see many people apply what happens to the Outwitter to what happens to the other person, but it isn't true.
