For the eighty-seventh episode, join Adam Chapman (comic reviewer for Comics & Gaming Magazine, cXpulp.com) for audio reviews of comics released Wednesday June 12th. New guest AJ REESE joins the show for some of the discussion!
This episode was originally recorded June 17th 2013.
This episode features our first use of SKYPE, to bring listener AJ Reece onto the show. However, we're still working out some technical difficulties with recording the audio streams. As a result of this, the two hour segment with AJ is at times difficult to understand, with the audio lagging, causing inadvertant crosstalk. We hope to fix this in the future, but didn't want to completely cut out the segment.

Good episode! Great to hear a guest on a reviews episode, and to have ideas bounced around in a bit deeper detail on some of the books. Love the South Park reference to Mysterion - I wouldn't have caught it, but it's a funny coincidence, and does leave me to wonder how often creators Google new character names when they "invent" them.
The tech challenges do make it a little tricky to follow at times, but by and large I think it all came through. A warm welcome to A.J., and thanks for the detailed breakdowns!
@ Overdrive: Glad you liked it! I know it was tough at times to make out all of what we we're saying, but Thanks for the kind welcome!
@ Adam: Of course after we recorded, my wife comes along and says; "Did he record using Skype itself? Oh, well it's terrible for recording anything." Thanks honey. Great advice about a day too late, lol..

I actually did record using a different recording program, and not SKYPE itself, but it didn't end up assisting that much. I have an alternative idea for the next time we attempt this, but it'll just take a bit more work on my part to line things up correctly, as opposed to what we did with this first attempt. C'est la vie!
Also, I should point out Overdrive is none other than the enthusiastic Tom Kerr from prior episodes of Talkin' Heroclix and Top 5 Favourite Hulk Storylines. Cat's out of the bag, Tom!
I guess I should've figured from the hulk avatar. Another enjoyable episode as usual (despite the tech flubs). Keep churning them out, and congratulations on 10K.
