If you have two opposing spirals and one cast the SP, when the other goes to do it, you'd would have to remove the first Spirals Portals before you'd put down yours right?

So then you will never have the whole Friendly issue come up cause the power doesn't say friendly to Spiral...it just says Friendly characters. Which to me means just your team.

No. If two Spirals are being played, each team can use the portals created by any Spiral.

Her Trait only cares that there are portals on the map. It does not care who created them.

Why is this such a difficult concept to understand for people?

I think that they are incorrectly assuming the term "Friendly Characters" is referring to the portals (thinking they belong to one team and not the other), instead of just friendly to Spiral.

Terrain markers are terrain markers regardless of which side put them down. If there are portal markers and you have a Spiral, your people can walk on through.

Except there is no evidence they are terrain Markers.
