I've been observing this forum for a long time, and have truly appreciated everyone who has taken that first step into creating a "Player Group". Unfortunately, most groups never seem to get enough traction or support (or desire) to qualify for a Player Group. With that in mind, we're happy to announce BETA testing of Social Groups.

Social Groups are designed an an intermediary step between being "Independent Member" and "Player Groups".

Social Groups do not need a minimum member requirement to set up ... all they need is for someone to send me (Typhon) a PM with the following information:

Social Group Name
Social Group Description
Type:

• Open: Anyone can join
• Moderated: Join requests must be approved by the Group Leader
• Invite Only: Group Leader has to invite the member to join

That's it! I see at least 10 groups that converse in this forum that would be better suited as a Social Group ... so give it a try! There's nothing to lose!

And as for how this is a stepping stone to being a "Player Group"? Social Groups with 50 or more members will qualify to be a Player Groups ... which means you will have you own forum, and Player Group "Tag".

Well, this thread is from 2008, so not all info may be relevant.
Also, it sounds like you should join the Homoclixuals instead of starting a new group from scratch.
