Not certain if this is "general tomfoolery" sort of chat or if it belongs in the Comics section... But I just find this premise all sorts of fun.

What do you reckon his monicker would be?

The Scorching Cynic? Melting the icecream of those he sees with his microwave-hate-beam-rifle?

SoulBuster? A psychological terror without a single death upon his own hands? (insinuating that his victims kill themselves or something)

I'm not overly learned on super-heroes and the like. What is the most absurd/silly origins story you've heard of? And no bashing that Wolverine movie, I've already heard about the absurdity of that thing. (hehe)

PS. I may be quite bored.

I like some of the Strikeforce Morituri stuff ....with flower growing powers.

My favorite absurd character is The Dog Welder from the pages of Hitman. He was part of a super team called Section 8. They were all pitiful. He would weld dead dogs to people's faces.

They don't really get into the origins of the characters but all of them have sweet powers.

Another one is Codpiece from Doom Patrol. Girls used to tease him when he was young because he wasn't well endowed. He made all of these gadgets, including a spring loaded boxing glove, that would attach his crotch. He had a big drill for breaking into bank vaults. AWSOME!!!
