I think the series was not well-executed to elevate the character.

While he's always been the Mad Titan, I took it that his madness was to do with his ambitions at godhood and the like, not that he was actually just koo-koo brains.

Spoilery question for those who have read it:

I don't think Sexton Furnival was crazy.

It was a fantastic series, up until this last issue. Bummed.

I now feel even more satisfied that I dropped the miniseries after issue 3.

A straight answer to your question:

Death does seem to exist as an entity and I believe Thanos has actually interracted with her. This was all just... adolescent fantasy crap.

Honestly though.......and I mean this with all seriousness.....


How was this not going to end badly? Just from the premise....one just "knew". If Giffen, DnA, Van Lente, Pak, etc.... wrote this...it might have that chance. But you knew, KNEW!, that with Aaron writing alongside the Bendis and whoever...... this had no shot.

So glad I didn't buy the hype (as always).

I'm going to stick it out and just read Hickman's cosmic for now (it's the only Marvel cosmic worth reading....just saying)

That was an unexpected end. And it does not go well with the previous history of the character.

Even Spidey once met her with Thanos. Starfox met her and Warlock and even Marlo Chandler (twice). And the Beyonder once met and then ended her existence. Then he brought her back to existence. Still, lots of others have seen her. It should also be noted tho that it was previously stated (years ago) that Thanos met her after he first aquired the Cosmic Cube. So, there is some room to wiggle if they say he only imagined her presence prior to his gaining the cube and that after he aquired the Cube he met the real her. Heck, she even resurrected him and he gained the Infinity Gems (for the second time).

Still, the last issue of this series was a let down.
