With the help of Jade, Obsidian managed to reassimilate with the other JSA members. Jade prevailed upon Doc Samson to sit with her brother for a series of therapy sessions to help him get over the trauma of being used by Prometheus and Jackie Estacado. Doc Samson readily agreed.

Johnny Blaze stepped into the Oblivion Bar.

He saw his half brother was sitting with two attractive women. One was greenclad with obvious witchlike attire, the other was dressed in an abbreviated tux and tophat and fishnet stockings. All three turned to face the newcomer.

Daniel Ketch broke into a wide grin when he recognized his brother. "Johnny!" He shouted and stood up to greet and embrace his brother.

"Danny! I've been worried about you since you disappeared. Now I know what's happened to you since it's clearly happened to me as well." He looked at the women. "Who are your ladyfriends?"

Daniel introduced him to Zatanna and the Enchantress and the three began to explain to Johnny what was going on and what he was now a part of.

The Shocker read the notes left on his desk and as he finished them they disintegrated in his hand. What? Was this whole thing some kind of Mission Impossible?

He picked up his phone and dialed up Justine Hammer like the notes directed him to do. After a brief conversation, the Crimson Cowl materialized with a large powerful man who the woman introduced as Bane.

After a short negotiation, the Shocker found himself once again a member of the Masters Of Evil.

Day 21: Midnight, near a replicated City of Bludhaven on an alternate Earth.

Stephen Strange was doing everything he could to locate the missing heroes and villains. After a recent altercation with Dormammu, he learned that Umar was among the missing. Dormammu offered a truce with Strange if the latter were able to locate Dormammu's missing sister.

Strange had discovered that the entity known as Nightmare was missing as well. No one on Earth had suffered bad dreams in the past three weeks. A trip to the Nightmare realm verified this.

Nothing else seemed to work, so Strange fashioned a spell that would take him physically to where all the missing were being held.

After turning the reins over to Clea, he cast the spell and followed the others.

The advanced Sentinel known as Nimrod was assessing the strange new circumstances of his situation.

His last memory was being assimilated with Mastermold to become Bastion. Somehow he was now independant of Mastermold and restored to his Nimrod identity. If machines could feel a sense of relief he was feeling it now.

He studied the city before him. He could detect no emanations of mutant life in the city and began to dismiss it until he read the sign nearby that said "Welcome to Bludhaven".

His databanks contained no references to any such city! Something was amiss and his databanks struggled to reconcile the information but could not.

He was trying to work out this odd fallacy when the Sorceror Supreme appeared before him out of thin air.

Doctor Strange did not register as a mutant but Nimrod detected superhuman abilities as a possible threat.

Strange hovered above Nimrod and wondered about the nearly ten foot pink robot before him. A simple information spell told Strange what he needed to know.

Nimrod decided that Strange could indeed be a threat and began an attack initiative.

At the same time Strange encased Nimrod in the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak.

Nimrod unleashed his plasma blasts but they were ineffectual against the Bands of Cyttorak.

Nimrod teleported out, arriving in a warehouse in the Bronx.

The perimeter patrol arrived right then and discovered Strange hovering over his Crimson Bands.

Namor felt immense relief at the sight of his fellow Defenders founder. Strange could take over monitoring the Hulk. He was better at it anyway.

He called out. "Strange! Am I happy to see you! Who have you got encased in those bands?"

Strange looked at the newcomers; recognizing Namor, the Hulk, Wonder Man, Havok, Polaris and Ms. Marvel but not the others from the Legion of Superheroes.

"I have a threat to mutants named Nimrod encased in here."

"Nimrod?" Havok asked. "You better check. I doubt he's still there. That sentinel can teleport."

Strange dissolved the bands and discovered Havok was right.

Donald Pierce was in his home, worried about his dangerous partnership with Selene.

Suddenly a cloaked figure appeared before him. Startled Pierce went into defensive mode.

The figure held out his hand in a gesture to back off.

"Relax. You could not hurt me anyway. I have a present for you that will be a tremendous asset to you and be your safety valve against Selene to ensure she does not turn on you."

Intrigued Pierce asked, "And what would that be?"

The Midnight Rambler waved his hand and a image appeared in which Pierce observed an enormous ten foot pink robot in a warehouse.

"This is Nimrod. an advanced Sentinel. I shall bring him to you and he shall obey your every command."

Pierce asked, "Why should you do this?"

"To adjust the balance of power. Selene will dare not betray you with Nimrod under your thumb."

Pierce; ever greedy for wealth and power, readily agreed.

The Midnight Rambler disappeared momentarily and then returned with Nimrod in tow.

"How may I serve you master?" said Nimrod.

Pierce nearly fainted in ecstacy.

The Midnight Rambler discretely left.

With the night over, the perimeter patrol disbanded. The day had been mostly fruitless for the patrol.

The Legion members left to return to Smallville. Cosmic Boy told Polaris he'd try to work with her as much as possible to help her refine and then told Havok; rather diplomatically, that he was a lucky man to have such a lovely girlfriend.

Havok and Polaris left to return to the X-mansion while Namor and the Hulk left with Dr. Strange to meet with Nick Fury to bring Strange up to date.

This left Wonder Man, Firestorm and Ms. Marvel to stick it out in case more appearances occurred near Bludhaven.

All right. This is where I'm going to wrap up this arc and resume the story with a supplemental for Fantastic Forces. I have one more character from Fantastic Forces to introduce and he's going to tie up an entire story day.
