Right but for Superman and Superman it says Clark Kent OR Kal-El it does not say Clark Kent AND Kal-El. So using their real names should work.
Their real name is then "Clark Kent or Kal-El" not "Clark Kent" or "Kal-El". It is all one line and therefore the Qualifying character would need the whole thing.

Even though the split characters are not able to use said effect?
If the answer to that is yes then my next question would be:
I begin the game with Superman And The Flash duo plus 100 Pt Superman and 100 Pt Flash. I get knocked to the And The Winner Is power so I split the Superman And The Flash duo. I then use the 100 Pt Superman and 100 Pt Flash that began the game as a part of my force to Merge into Superman And The Flash would that new merger be impacted?
Further I could also do this with just an extra Superman or Flash on my team as when I split I choose one of them to gain the game effects that were attached to the duo so if my Force is Superman And The Flash plus the 101 Pt Flash I could Split Superman and The Flash and then put the And The Winner is Game effect onto the now Split Flash and then Merge the Superman with the 101 Pt Flash to Rest the And The Winner Is Power correct?
That's a lot of game being waisted. Go for it, if your opponent allows that all to happen.

Ok and Superman has his real name listed as Clark Kent or Kal-El on his bio cards so why wouldn't that work again? Otherwise what you are saying would prevent ALL duos with Superman from using Split/Merge and I doubt that is what GD is looking for.

Off handed and unnecessary comment aside... Thank you.
As for your comment I'm actually surprised you would take such an attitude and I'm a little put off by it. Especially since you are replying in an official rules thread about a current issue.
Not to mention the fact that changing a character's Speed from 10 to 20 with Hypersonic is far from what I could call "Wasted".
I'm still not sure how the game effect which could not effect the replacement characters somehow follows one of them and that explanation was not given, but you have given your answer of no and I will have to accept that.

Really because according to the Player's guide that is not correct. Page 4-16:
Qualifying Name OR Qualifying Real Name
Superman Clark Kent or Kal-El
Superman Clark Kent or Kal-L
Those are what are required for the merge or what need to come out of the split. MisterId is saying that the characters real name is "KAL-L AND KAL-EL", which means that you can't merge him with any figure that would require the real name of "Kal-L" or "Kal-El".

Ok, I think I'm getting confused by what your attempting here.

Sorry man but, you are wrong here as well. Duos that lose the duo ability can use the Merge ability. So when Superman and Superman gain Earthbound they no longer poses the instead poses Once they do they have the real name of Clark Kent or Kal-el which could be used to Merge with Wonder Woman to form the Superman and Wonder Woman duo.
When you are using Merge, you would use Wonder Woman and Superman's Chart and then the characters that are Merging you would use Their Real Name on the back of the card. Not the chart, that is for when they are Splitting or when you are checking other characters for Merging.

From the Player's Guide
Game effects that are applied to a character prior to replacement are applied to the new character accordingly. If the replacement results in multiple new characters, then the game effects are distributed as decided by the characters‘ controller.

Wait a minute: MisterId, I am confused. After Superman and the Flash gain the and lose , they can still use the split combat ability? Why? What allows this?

Ah ok thank you both. I was thinking that since both list Clark Kent then you would be able to merge with them if the were no longer considered a duo. However, if I'm understanding you correctly the fact that they have both Kal-L or Clark Kent and Kal-El or Clark Kent that it wouldn't work because it would be Clark Kent and Clark Kent not just Clark Kent.
Thank you for your patience in helping with that one. I think I was just confusing myself with it (having a 4 month old will do that as sleep becomes a resource you no longer have)

Right I get that, but my question is does that apply even if it is an effect that does not apply to that(those) character(s)?
