7 clicks of life for 225 points?
I used to think 6 clicks for 100 was fishy.
They better jam in a lot of Powers and raw numbers for those points.
Not sure if this guy is worth those points.

Im trying to like this fig, but it just falls short for me. I think his Trait "THE AETHER AND I ARE ONE: Characters hit by an attack from Malekith can't use defense powers until their next turn.", is kinda blah. I get it triggers once he hits, but for 225, it dosn't leave alot of room for you supporting cast in a 300 point format. Yes he'll be more valuable in bigger formats, but most clixs will too. I guess he's costly becuase he's Mystics and PC.

There's something here, I think. Starting Invincible + Power Cosmic means he can't be dealt penetrating and can't be outwitted. That trait is better than penetrating damage, and sets teammates up well. Great defense values. Can't argue with Perplex and Probability Control.
Something's here... but it's hard to put together.

I like this version of him, played a few games with him and got some great result. The trait is really good, especially if hitting high point figures with great defend power. Along with some Dark Elf soliders for enchantment make him even better

He really rips through characters, especially if you can hold him back for a bit and let your opponent's figs get tied up with his lower cost henchmen. I made it halfway through a game before I remembered to use his trait. That might have helped lull my opponent into a false sense of security...

I don't think the veteran version is worth the extra points.

I absolutely love this figure. If you play him in a 400+ game his ability to squish bricks is almost unparalleled. Use him with as many high Attack Value figs as you can.

In higher point games, if he can somehow use PW or Quake, he'll allow the rest of your force to make easy work of hit opposing characters.

Hey Spider-ham, I'm confused as to why pulse wave or quake is necessary. What's your reasoning behind this?

Necessary? No. More delicious? Yes. As is, he can only target one figure at a time. PW/Quake would spread his defense-stripping joy across the 9 Realms. Or at least across more than one opposing figure.

so...you still get to use ESD,combat reflexes,super senses when attacked by maliketh since he still has to hit first in order to activate the trait?
