Just played a 300 pt game with my wife. I played Jean, 201 Wolverine, and GSXFF iceman. Used her running shot on some walls to carry everyone out of the starting zone and into the hindering for the bonus.

Pushed her a few times throughout the game to try and use her to full potential. She healed Iceman, TKed Enemies to wolverine, and even mind controlled a time or two.

I cannot believe how fun she played. 5 stars

I can't wait to use her with GX008 Cyclops and GX011 Emma Frost. Jean using RS/PB while carrying the other two for 4 clicks on one turn, then the next Emma steps up from behind Jean to use PB on somebody for 4, with Jean ready to push if need be for another PB. Then Cyclops steps up in front of Jean to shoot somebody for 6.

You could call the team "Big Pimpin'"

If you're playing GX008, it's probably Golden Age, so why not just use the feat Coordination?

SCORE: 80%. This is really only a 70% piece, because she's all about clicks 1 and 3. Which makes her a top-heavy dial. Jean cannot get based. At all. She should stay 8 squares back to make the most of her long range (in the Modern Age). She has to stay in hindering to get that 18 defense after her ES/D is Outwitted. So her use as an incredible taxi is reduced because she can't approach the front lines of battle or clear terrain.

I wish clicks four and five were even more support-power centered than they are. Enhancement and X-healing are good, but for 100 points I want Perplex or ProbCon. The best thing would have been WXM Cannonball's Energy Shield sharing power - I've seen Jean do that exact thing in the comics many times. So, she's not perfect, and kind of expensive.

But, and this is a big but, I've been asking for a 100 point Jean Grey for about 5 years now, ever since Iceman and Angel in Mutations & Monsters were made at around 100. Now I can make a great 500 point X-Factor team, using TabApp Iceman and GSX Cyclops. Thanks WizKids! And that's why I give her an extra 10% for her score.

My venue is usually Golden Age, but no Feats or BFCs.

I've had a lot of success pairing her with the Colossus from the grav feed. His Defend bumps her up to a 20 to hit from range, 21 in hindering. Not too shabby when carrying 2 other muties to bring the hurt, especially if one can stay close to her and make use of her Enhancement.

I actually can't wait till I can try her and the GF Colossus with the new Forge and to fill the 500 points team, Bishop. Bishop teleports in, shoots somebody, gains PC for that turn (if he gets hit, there's high chance he lands on Energy Absorption and PC), Jean flies in carrying Forge and Colossus, fries somebody with a Psychic Blast, Forge shoots people Enhanced by Jean, Neutralizes them, Colossus charges in, smashes them, Bishop fires his RCE and EE left and right, PC's what's needed when he gets to it, Forge eats an object for perma-Perplex, regroup, Forge heals Colossus for free if needed, Colossus Defends everybody for base 18 DV, Jean carries all three to another position. Boom, mutant mayhem! Not the most competitive team maybe, but lots of support, healing (Forge, Jean, Bishop's regenerations and X-Men TA on everybody), mobility and damage potential all around. Plus, I like the characters, so I'm going to play them anyway.

Infinitely more useful than the uncommon main set Jean for the team base. This Jean offers more offensive capabilities as well as healing, enhancement, and mind control, and isn't stuck being a TK pony that is utterly wasted with a team base.

She now gives us 3 amazing Jeans, all with different roles: UN Jean is 31pts TK and X-MEN (probably still the most point efficient), M10 Dark Phoenix w/ 3 different options of Pulse Waving at high range and stop click healing justice, and now WXM209 which is the perfect blend of Attacker and Support and very point efficient. Her 8 range 2 bolt Psy Blast is waaaay more valuable in today's game than it used to be. Combine that with the fact that she can move 3 X-Men up with her when she does so. Then she has Enhance, TK, Mind Control and Support with decent values all the way down the dial. Won a very competitive tournament simply playing X-Factor theme team with her as the centerpiece. As I said, 8 range 2 bolt Psy Blast lets you outrange most other figures with 2013 PAC changes. 5 Star Fig.

Silver Age tend to differ from one venue to another. In my area, it's "characters with cards"

Hmmm. that's cool. Every venue I've been to, Silver is any set, No cardboard elements except ATAs. I thought it was the same everywhere.

So she can only carry 3 figs when using running shot, correct?

She can carry up to 3, yes. When she's flying normally, she may only carry 1.
