Yeah, a coworker and I was discussing this last season. The NFL is so lame now with all these new rules. I miss the days of hits from the 80s/90s. Lawrence Taylor would have never done what he did in todays league. Back then almost every team had a great QB. Now days you have a few great QBs across the whole league. I really just pay attention to my Steelers and the playoffs. During the season it's gotten pretty bad. This year the sorry teams like KC and Seattle are great and the greats suck. I know it comes and goes but teams like KC and Seattle have been historically awful just like the Browns and Bus.

Seattle is really really good ( and I'm a 49er fan).
KC has an easy schedule but was good 2 years ago and got derailed by injuries and poor leadership last year so they are benefiting a bit from the schedule but also a decent team.
BTW the NFC West has overall been a "weak" division since the 90s but all of them have done a good job of rebuilding and I think the Rams are a healthy QB away from being a really good team too ( check Arizona's record when they play a non-NFC West opponent).
Then there is the NFC East where my Cowboys play and they are the worst division in football and I don't think its close. No matter who wins that division be it the Cowboys or Eagles will make it out of the first round of the playoffs. What is totally shocking is that the Cowboys haven't lost a conference game yet.

AFC South is pretty bad, but they don't get shoved down everybody's throat like the NFC East. I had to LOL that the NFL pretended they didn't know what game next Sunday would be until like 9pm when they knew about 4pm that it'd be NFC East even if NFC North had a win or go home game as well (which they do now).
I think the Eagles might be able to win a playoff game @ home against the Saints but not against an NFC West opponent ( 49ers or Cardinals ).
