The Thin Man was one of those little-seen Golden Age Timely characters. Around the time that the Invaders comic was going strong, a bunch of these Timely characters joined the Liberty Legion for a one-shot comic.

I did not realise he was an older character. I thought he had been created for The Liberty Legion.

Still. When your power is to become two dimensional, that's half the people I meet nowadays. LOL!

All the members of the Liberty Legion were bonafide Golden Age heros from Timely. Roy Thomas loves to resurrect these golden oldies that nobody else has ever heard of. Imho, this worked a lot better over in the All-Star Squadron, where there at least was a core of characters that people knew.

Seems to me there was a story somewhere as to why Elongated Man wasn't asked to join the New JLA. Maybe a secret files or something. Does anyone remember this?

It was JLA Secret Files #2 when Bruce, Clark and Arthur are assembling the new members. Bruce is "nominating" Plastic Man and it's mentioned that while they like Ralph, Plas has more versatility and power.

I thought I remember reading somewhere of Black Canary, Elongated Man, maybe Zatanna sitting around talking about why they aren't in the league.

Can't remember what it was in.
