So my question is regarding a Multi-base character using HSS, and specifically, if the whole base must be legally placed to make an attack.
The relavant text...

MOVING MULTI-BASE CHARACTERS
When a multi-base character moves, choose any
square occupied by the multi-base character to begin
the movement. The character moves as if it is a single
base character moving from the chosen square and
follows all movement rules accordingly. Multi-base
characters must always end movement so that all of
its bases occupy legal, adjacent squares. No part
of the base may be moved more squares than the
one chosen for the move. If any square a multi-base
character occupies is hindering terrain, the character
is considered to occupy hindering terrain when it
begins to move, no matter which square it starts from.

Hypersonic Speed: Give this character a power action and move it up to its speed value. It automatically breaks away and can use (running man, 00). During its move, this character may as a free action make one close combat or ranged combat attack with its range value halved for the attack. This character must be in a square where it could
legally end its move in order to make the attack. If this character loses Hypersonic Speed before it finishes moving, it can’t continue moving and must immediately resolve the action.
OK, so here it is. when moving a multi-base character, they are said to occupy one square. that part is easy. When the character stops to make its attack, does it occupy the one square it does while moving, or does it occupy it's full amount of squares, due to the above bolded line in HSS?
It occupies the one square, but that square wouldn't be a square where it could
legally end its move, unless that square was also part of an area that could legally hold the entire base.
Makes sense... If you critical miss and lose hypersonic, then you would end your movement... Is it a place you could legally park the bug... Or are there walls around?

Actually, with the new PAC you don't end your movement if you lose HSS. Now you get to finish your movement even if HSS is lost.

Where can i read it?
And im confused, Do you accupy only one square at the time to atack during HHS or it needs to be able to legally occupy all the squares of its base size?
