On the one side of the map there are orange squares which usually denote some kind of special rule for the map. There is a square in each of the corners of the map as well as four in the dead center of the map. There is no text on the map explaining this special terrain. What does it do?

From the Player's Guide:

Orange squares/circles are clear terrain unless anything in the special rules for that map and/or other effects change them. Placing an object in an orange square (assuming the rules for that map permit it) would make the square act as hindering, but would not remove the properties the special rules for the map provide for it.

i think what he's asking is that the map is missing the special text saying what's so special about the orange squares.

Last time it was no starting area on the Atlantis map and now this? Figures & cards are one thing, but when it trickles down to ibeatdrew...

That aside, I really, really, REALLY wish the DoTA2 starter map (it's 3x3 by the way!) was...double-sided

It is double sided. The back side is a typo. There is supposed to be another map there. Draw it in using your imagination and a box of crayons!

That's the biggest reason I passed on that starter.

So, where do those orange squares on the Office Building lead to?

I checked both AvX maps, no go there.

(BTW, isn't this office building clearly one belonging to Stark Industries, no? Interesting how there's no logo or anything around like there was on the Stark Tower map from Chaos War.)

That's not how printing something works.

The printers only print the graphic they are given.

If text is missing, then WK left it off the graphic they sent to the printers.

'Cause we all know WK has proofreaders.

Well that is my point. I'm just saying don't blame the poor printers.
