As many may know for our extra Month 1 I put up a 50 poitn faction rule. My players liked the alternate idea and we were going over it and after much discussion we are going to (if we have 6 players) going to have a 3 on 3 battle for Cardassia.


I have 3 players who do Klingons and if they like the idea they will go against the other side. If there are 3 prizes each one of the team gets one. Be awesome to have that many ships on such a large table fightign it out. Should be fun. What do y'all think?

are you going 1 ship each captain? like a legit individualized battle? or will each captain have a fleet?

What is going to happen is each team can take 1 unique version of anything

But with the Prize being Month 1 there seems to be an shameful lack of Latinum betting going on.

Agreed. They should be "Warping For Pinks": Players get to keep whatever ships they destroy...

Oh no they want to do this for month 5. Not my idea was suggested by one player and the others seem to be into it. Love it because month 5 is kind of boring.

After being shot at by 'no attack back' OWPs in the earlier scenarios I'm going to poor all of my anger on those unfortunate little pieces of spacejunk waiting to happen!

Couple of questions:

1. Are you planning on letting each player build a 100 pt fleet but 50 pts must be in faction?

2. Are you running this on one 3x3 mat?

I only ask because that seems to be a LOT of points of ships flying around on such a small area.

They want to do solid factions each most likely Klingons (I have three players for them) and I think the others might do fed. But no we are doing full table as our pretty mats have not shown up yet ....unless I get a surprise in my mailbox before the 16th.

I got those three from the lickstarter, the 2 from the trade so I am psyhced. The Venue owner did the large one and that would be the best to use. Have to take pics and video of it

We ran an event this past Wednesday that was 150sp fleets, 4 players against each other, on a 3'x3' map. It was interesting to say the least. Everyone walked away with a prize and left happy.

My only fear in a format like this is team focus fire. If the map were larger than a 3x3, it may not be as big of an issue. I also really like that it will be 'team' builds to cut down on abuse. Though I would make sure that each side is building from the same faction restrictions. So if one side is all Klingon, the other side would need to decide on a single faction to build with as well (though it seems that's what you're going for already).

I'm still dreaming about playing the Federation and defending DS9 against a massive Klingon Fleet. Maybe even come up with some custom boarding rules to represent all the fights that broke out around various sections of the station.
