Yeah, there is a LOT to take in. My head is still spinning. You know things are crazy, when the TIE Defender, as good as it is, seems to be the most boring option.
- Wave 4 actually Exists!!!!!!!!!!
- These 4 haven't appeared on screen yet, right? (and by that I mean movies)

The Z-95 Headhunter enters the Rebel fleet as an extremely efficient missile platform, better enabling the Alliance to match Imperial forces ship-for-ship.

As cheap as 12 pts.....a Rebel(scum) version of the noble TIE Fighter. Disgusting!!
But nice for play options.
And I like the idea behind the Ion Pulse Missiles but secondary weapons aren't as valuable as they are, for the most part, as Attack Wing.....that might be clouding my initial impression having played more AW recently.

The TIE defender is a straight-forward fighter with strong shields, weapons, agility, and a maneuver never before seen on a dial.

More Ion Pulse Missiles so both sides get the options.
Interesting to see what it brings....looks to be 30 pts for the 1 skill though.

The E-wing pairs the X-wing’s firepower and resilience with the A-wing’s speed and agility.

And 2 (?) new astromechs.......R7-T1 looks good.

TIE phantom pilots rely upon the ship’s unique cloaking device to evade enemy fire and pounce upon their foes with their deadly laser cannons.

3 Reference cards (Cloaking, Modifications, and ?)
Probably the one I like the most visually (the TIE Defender look a little too busy) and most interested to see more of!

Upgrade Your Fleet
With their superior weaponry, high-speed maneuverability, skillful pilots, and technologically advanced upgrades, these four new starfighters are destined to blast their way through enemy starships! You can look for them to arrive in the second quarter of 2014. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for more announcements, previews, and other X-Wing news!
That seems....er.....um........unlikely?
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
I don't know the other ships that well, but I'm sure I'll buy them all!
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Don't quite dismiss the Ion Pulse Missile just yet. Yeah, it doesn't do much damage. But it is cheap. Cheapest Missile yet. And even better, it doesn't spend you Target Lock, just like the Homing Missile. So rerolls are available. It is going to be the ideal way for A-wings, Z-95's, and TIE Advances for dealing with Stealth Device. Add in the fun of splashed in Ion effects, it is going to be great.
The TIE Defender I think is going to have an insane dial. And don't forget the Advanced Sensors that are in the E-wing pack. No need to buy multiple Lambda shuttles.
As for their ability to hit June, I'm hopeful. They did well with Wave 3. We will see with the huge ships.

Oh, I wasn't dismissing it. I think it's great!
I'm just reminding myself that having played far more AW as of late that I should probably remember that secondary weapon (one shots!!! grrrrr) are different than my beloved Quantum Torps or Additional Weapons Array.
Right now I'm considering how these little bad boys could be used with my TIE Bombers to set up some very efficient bombs......and blast those Rebel scum to Alderaan bits!

Agreed. Some people were suggesting that the new maneuver, without a new template being seen, could be a new color (yellow?) or a turn/bank with K-turn ability.
Very interested about it.

I thought Wave 3 was delayed as well.........I know I completely forget when they were supposed to be out............maybe that was regional?
Anyway, on time or not, it's nice to see 9 ships coming (including the Aces as 2 and the other X-wing as one)............Attack Wing has reminded me how much I like seeing new FlightPath releases.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
Wave 3 was released, at most, 1 or 2 weeks late. I remember seeing them early Sep, after getting some at Gencon. It was close enough to the standard 3 month release after announcement that I wasn't bothered by it.
Pretty exciting stuff here. I have almost no experience with the EU (I never played all those Lucasarts PC games of legend), so what I know of these only comes from previous X-Wing speculation and my own reading on Wookieepedia.
The big thing with the ion missiles is that they can ion a large ship in a single hit.
I'm looking forward to having several Z-95s. Probably not 8. 5-6 seems more likely. I only see myself getting 2-3 of the other ships. I dunno what it is, but I feel weird having less than 3 of any small ship (aside from the HWK-290). Still need a 3rd B-Wing and TIE Bomber.
