How would the new Shrinking Violet's Trait work with Greithoth's Hammer?

SHRINKING DOWN...: During the beginning of your turn, you may choose that Shrinking Violet has "tiny symbol" until your next turn. If you do, modify her speed value by -3 until your next turn.

This character can use "Giant" symbol and Running Shot with a minimum range of 4. This character modifies its attack value by +2.

I know that if a figure which has that picks up the hammer would have the hammer supersede it. However, both symbols are being gained through uses of game effects rather than what is on the dial.

Once Shrinking Violet has Greitoth's Hammer, she will possess symbol. She will continue to possess that symbol until she next chooses to use her Trait. At that point she would posses the symbol until your next turn. She will not ever gain the effects of both symbols. She will only ever have one or the other.

From the Core Rulebook:

Unless specified otherwise, these combat symbols replace the symbols currently possessed by the character.

So, they will possess that last symbol they gained (in this case the from the hammer) and retain that symbol until lost. If lost, they would go back to being from the trait.

Thanks I never thought she could have both I just didn't know if the giant would override the trait since it was a constant effect.
