I just wanted to know if the Iron Man and Iron Patriot duo from IM3 could split and merge into say the iron man from the Iron Man from IIM or the War Machine from IIM? Thanks for any help.

What matters is...
1) Qualifying Names/Real Names.
2) Point Values.

Iron-Man to Iron-Man is fine. I assume Iron Patriot and War Machine will both have Real Names like "James Rhodes" or something, but I can't verify that without the cards. If they do have the same Real Names then that's good too. The last question is points. Do the two new figures add up to the same or LESS than the Duo? If the answer is yes then you are good to go.

ALSO... you can split into a single figure (odd I know). As such you could go from a 300pt Iron Man and War-Machine to a 300pt Iron-Man. Or 300pt War-Machine.
