I went to no conventions in 2013, but it is now official: I will attend WW Philly this year (June 19-22). The guest line-up looks great, I have a little extra cash from liquidating a retirement account, and after all of the kicks in the rear that life has handed to me I want to do something nice for myself. Just letting you all know in case some Made Members are making the trip to Philly. I'd enjoy meeting up with the gang out there again.
(By the way, I will also be at Awesomecon in April. This con is in the Washington DC area, so I can hardly not attend when the event is practically in my neighborhood. Let me know if you'll be there, too!!)

GenCon may be in the cards, but I can't plan that far into the year just yet. As a matter of fact, a good friend of mine is getting married in London right about GenCon. If I have to make a choice, I might have to go with London calling. And THAT would be a spectacular trip indeed, given that I have never been across the pond.

I won't be travelling to any conventions this year, but I don't live far from Philly at all, maybe a half-hour from the convention center. So if you're making any plans, I can probably be persuaded to swing by WW for a day. I've never been.

Dude! That would be excellent! You should totally look into it. I will be there June 19-22 and have already booked a room next to the Convention Center. Now all I have to do is twist Truff and Stan's arms into showing up!

One person, just one person goes to WW Philly they may think he's really sick and they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, They may think they're both losers and they won't take either of them. And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in having a mafia meetup and walking out. They may think it's an Organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said Fifty people a day walking in playing a game of mafia and Walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

I'm actually going to my first convention in years, next weekend in Sacramento. Pretty excited, my friend clued me into a Groupon for a LE Lithogrpah by Michael Golden and a signed Miracleman#1 by Neal Adams.
Also, the day before I'm gonna be hitting up the Wheel of Fortune roadshow that's coming to town.

That sounds great, Darq. I can only plan in the short term for the time being. GenCon continues to be the Holy Grail for me. Maybe someday...

Stupid middle of the country cannot go to cons thing. /grumble /grumble
How close are you to Chicago and Ohio? They seem to have pretty cool cons, from what I hear. Heck, I was ready to do a 10-hour drive to Indy last year before my vacay got cancelled.

If I had known about the WW Sacramento, I might have actually come out for it and visited my old stomping grounds.
If you have a chance, go to Mikuni and get some sushi. It's the best sushi I've ever had.
