Indeed, as a Marvel fan knowing little about DC, the brief info is a nice and welcome addition.
I really wish WK still had the bio's on the back, as the previews for this set have piqued an interest in the LoSH, and I would like to know more. I barely ever read any comics, so I will likely find myself on DC Wikia soon.
With the exception of the given differences, I am drawn towards the strong team-family oriented structure of the Legion which feels similar to me as the X-Men. With each individual having their own one thing that they do (mostly). From an outside perspective, it is a nice change from what seems to be a plethora of cookie-cutter JLA teams.
A Superman set I had zero interest in, but this LoSH set will see me collecting all the Legion members (and nothing more), and utilizing them often.

I don't understand the comparison you made between lightning lad and tyroc. Who...is ever....torn between choosing psychic blast and range combat expert? Both are forms of 'options' that really add to the diversity of the figure. Lightning lad TRUMPS tyroc! He can penetrate defenses OR deal 5 damage via rce and has reducers whereas tyroc is a very squishy dial. You yourself emphasise the fact that gamble pieces (blades/claws/fangs and super senses) aren't your style....
I have to mention Giganta as I believe her unpopular activation click mechanic spurs bias views from the get go. She is designed to be hit....hard. Heck if she takes a massive 5 damage in one attack (which is challenging in this set unless you set up the plethora of enhancement options) she can then bash opponents from 6 squares away! Comparing her to a figure you can't pull in a sealed isn't exactly a fair way to go about critiquing the figure itself in my opinion.
I understand your disclaimer....and the disclaimer repeating the disclaimer. Opinions are opinions and you can never make all members happy all of the time. You do your best at giving fair reviews based on your obvious extensive experience with this game and its elements. I appreciate your hard work and actually REALLY enjoy reading these! Don't allow mixed opinions to deter you from the hard work you do.
Great write up as usual, I appreciate the time put into these. However, since I love to argue, I would say you don't value outwit and PC very much. IMHO, violet and sensor girl immediately start off with 2 stars for having an opening click with either of these powers. Remember, outwit does damage, it gives the rest of your team penetrating damage. And PC helps assure the beaters on your team do their damage as well.
I also love the 6-word bio. I skipped ahead over the main text of the reviews just to read them all. I have two nitpicks. Hothead is one word, not two, and atomic-sized should be a single hyphenated word.
I totally undersold Giganta, I think. Having played her a few times, I can say she's pretty good as far as common options go.

One thing in response to the Saturn Girl bio: why did you not write "Saturn Girl's boyfriend" on Lightning Lad's bio?
Redundant info. Timing. By the time you get to LL, you already know they are a couple.

I was really on the fence with Rokk, and what it came to for me as a deciding vote was the opening 9 av. He's not going to push to a better AV because of the indomitable, well at least not unless you want him to.
I suppose I may have misread the SP. I am under the impression that you'd have to resolve the two TKs before giving another an action, which was a factor as well. If you can burn one to fling out, then attack, then burn the second to reel the attacker back in, well that is something worth mentioning.
I'll resist arguing your rating of Rokk (Indom TK cannons who transition into OW'ing Barriers who therefore have something to do throughout the whole dial usually get better ratings) as I figure most will think I'm just biased.
I will note I wish you'd not called Timberwolf the Legion's Wolverine considering Brin was created looooong before Logan. I know you know that but those unfamiliar with the Legion too frequently think Londo is a knockoff and I hate seeing it risk perpetuated (and speaking of X-Trivia for those not in the "know": Storm and Nightcrawler were initially intended to be Legionnaires, having been invented by Cockrum before he went over to Marvel).
