This came up today and wasn't sure about it. The Shield, Batroc Brigade, Mercenary and Spy civilian tokens all have a green around the outside of them. Do they count as Primes because of that green ring? Thinking no, but wanted to ask to make sure. Thanks in advance.

No, they are not prime... Wizkids needs to find a new color for bystanders and horde tokens. Green was a bad idea for primes, but now that they have used it it is probably better to change bystanders and horde tokens.

Make them orange- or white-bordered, maybe. Both of those colors are still available. They could even make them black-bordered if they wanted to. Give them a "regular character" kind of appearance as if they were on a black dial.

I for one do not wish to see dozens of threads where people are asking if anyone can pick-up and hold the cable repairman then throw him at someone 8 squares away for 1 damage.

Hulk should be able to do that!

I would absolutely love to be able to throw bystandards as ultra light objects. you think the Hulk chucking a super fan at someone wouldn't do at least 1 damage?

BWAHAHAHAHA That would be the best rules change ever kids would be light objects and adults could be treated as heavy objects.

Actually if you got the Fear Itself pack with Splitlip, all the flip side of the bystanders are light objects of them as stone.

Neckbeards would be ultra heavy.

Don't forget that an orange ring would invite people asking who the tokens can Alter Ego into.

Id be asking if they were rules deputies.

Are people asking if they can throw veteran or rookie Icons Superman at people?
Are they disputing whether experienced Icons Superman can be moved at all?
Are they asking if Alyosha Kraven or a bystander/horde token counts as hindering terrain?

Because those characters share the same colored ring as existing game elements but I don't see any confusion.

If they can not understand the difference between a character and an object or terrain marker then they are not going to understand the game at all.
