Really easy to abuse if I am reading this right. On her 2nd click, copied GCPD ata allows her to free move through a character shut down his resource/relic then use exploit weakness. Then I can regularly move back through said character to and incapacitate it? That should work as long as it's a different close combat action. Am I right?

Nah, son you can definitely wild card ATAs. Some of them are uncopyable, GCPD isn't one of them. I'm just asking about the free action part.

ATAs are Team abilities. They're a subset of them, just like "special powers" are a type of powers.

GCPD is its own move action, so no phasing with it.

It's not it's own move action. It says characters with no action tokens may be given a move action as a free action. The move action you give can be phase/teleport.

For even more shenanigans, you can use DKR Lt. Gordon. He qualifies for the GCPD ATA. You can then use two of the Legion Founders from the Gravity Feed and have them "Welcome to the Legion" Lt. Gordon so that he has the LOSH keyword (he's 68 points, so it takes two of them to induct him to the Legion). Now, everyone can copy GCPD ATA to move 4 spaces for free, then Lt. Gordon can give two adjacent LOSH (and himself) another free move of up to 8 spaces with his special power. :laugh:

My question is, does her phasing completely sever the connection (for one turn) to the character's resource? Could you phase through a friendly and cut his connection to the resource, and then go after 10th Ann. Iron man and bypass his adaptive Armor with it?

They are still "assigned" the relic or resource they just can't "use" it.

She can if its through different game mechanics. GCPD ata is a different free action from gordan. But i do think the free attack can only happen once per turn. unsure though because think back to that gcpd lex team. with batmite. he could get like 3 or 4 attacks in a turn

The reason that happened was beacause Bat-Mite was placing Lex, while the GCPD ATA was giving him a free move. If Lex wanted, he could then take an action token to attack for a third time.

Placing is different from a move action, free or otherwise. But you cannot take the same action as a free action twice in a turn. They are both move actions as free actions, and therefore only one will apply.
