Welcome to the Weekly Marvel Comics Review Thread!
Every week we'll put up a "sticky" thread like this one so people can review and discuss the current weeks Marvel comics.
The threads will stay at the top of the Marvel Comics forum from Wednesday afternoon until the next Wednesday morning, after which time they'll be "unstuck" and return to their chronological spot in the forum, to be replaced by the current week's thread. Each thread will be marked with the ! icon.

1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
Avengers 75: Awesome to see Hawkeye back, Johns does some great team dynamics in his writing. The way he fleshes out each character is awesome, nobody is left in the background. I mean come on, he made Jack of Hearts into a pretty interesting character. Too bad I will not be picking up this book anymore when Chuck Austen takes over. The Johns run was all too brief. I hope Marvel can find a monthly gig for Scott Kolins, the guy is amazing. His style is simple but he packs so much kineticism and energy in his pages. He also can draw the best destruction scenes.
Iron Man 75: I think this book is slwoly but surely getting back on track. It's moving at a slow pace, but all the politics and technology talk make it intriguing. JJ Miller seems to feel comfortable writing this political-thriller stuff. Also, I give him a big plus for not ignoring past continuity. Lucas's art is pretty to look at too.
Marvel 1602 5: The pace has picked up somewhat. A lot more clues were dropped as to whats going on. Hopefully something major will happen soon, seeing as how we've only got 3 issues left. Andy Kubert's art sure looks nice under all that digital painting mumbo-jumbo, but he should work on his faces a little more. Every guy with a goatee looks the same, I had to do quite a few double takes to see if it was Strange or Fury I was reading.
NYX 3: The art is semi-decent and that's about all I have to say. probably won't be continuing this title.
That one guy who showed up in that one issue of Marvel Two-In-One from 1981...
Avengers 75 I liked it. My problem is that after the last two issues I over hyped the book in my head. The book is great though i loved the fact that the scarlet witch is being finally recognized as an avengers big gun.
Well I was back logged from Christmas Shopping so here is what I got this week.
Exiles (King Hyperion 2)
Ultimate X-Men #40
Ultimate Six #5
Ultimate Spider-Man
X-treme X-Men 33-34
Exiles: I just love the Weapon X team! They are just so bad ###. I think that I may be picking up this series as a regular title rather than just these Weapon X books. Hyperion is a beast and I will be interested to see what happens in the next issue. I was glad to see Iceman in that state, wish we had seen more of him.
Ultimate X-Men: Pretty good set up book. The artwork with Angel was AMAZING! Really kind of grand and set the tone for the presence that he has. I wish they would stop making Beast a big goober.
Ultimate Spider-Man: Well all I gotta say is that the next issue should be ....... interesting.
Ultimate 6: Pretty good. It doesn't look like Norman is as insane as we thought he was. Don't get me wrong he is still nuts. I wonder what is going to happen with Peter walking around with his mask off all the time.....
X-treme X-men: Lots of dialogue but the action is pretty good. When did Calypso go calamari? Haven't really ever seen her much but that kind of threw me for a loop.....
Totally off topic but can anyone of you Comic guys tell me what happend after Wolverine 154&155 w/ the whole WatchTower business and Deadpool. It was done by Liefeild and the stroy ended w/ wolverine wanting to know everything about the Administrator of the WatchTower and was going to hunt him down b/c they "underestimated him". Anyone know which story arc i'm talking about. thanks
