Looks like the event schedule has been released. Not a whole lot of info but here's what I found:

STAW Quick Play Constructed event - $10, 16 players max.
Thursday 10AM
Friday 10AM
Saturday 10AM

Hmmmm, upon further inspection, it appears these events are "ongoing". I wonder if that means as soon as they get 16 people, they fire off a new three round event.

If so, that's pretty cool. You could play AW all day long!!

I found out the big con (Dallas Comic Con) here is finally adding gaming, and the preliminary schedule has a bunch of tables dedicated to Attack Wing. I'm pretty excited!

Do we know if there will be con exclusives?

Nothing I've seen personally. However, considering thry did the Khan exclusive last year and the game seems to be doing fairly well, I'd not be surprised if we see something, even if it is just a card like Khan.

IIRC they usually had a promo card for Quarriors at the cons when there was a Quarriors release close to con season.

Build a 100 point constructed force and battle it out with other captains to see who will rule the stars! The winners of each round of this event will receive a Star Trek: Attack Wing OP prize!

So, single elimination event.
Winners from each round get a prize.
Starts with 16 players which would mean 4 rounds.

So for a $10 investment and 3-4 hours of your time, if you are skilled enough to win all of your games you can walk away with 4 OP prizes??

Cool. Reminds me of the glory days of convention Clix, when they'd just walk around handing out uniques and LEs at random to the people playing.

OP Prizes as in LE Ships or OP kit participation prizes? I tend to believe that latter.

Well, the announcement has been changed to now read Star Trek: Attack Wing OP element so yeah, looks like the prizes could very well be anything from the OP kits.

Which is still not too bad. The participation prizes from the last 3 months are still going for $10 a piece so you can effectively make back your entry fee.

If I have a free day one of those days I'll go with my Borg in hand and see how I fair.
