I love the design on this guy. He's not too difficult to hit but the damage reducing capabilities, healing abilities and just the sheer "I can't die" flavor of him makes him very comic accurate and a ton of fun to play.
At first glance his attack looks low, but consider that mid-dial he's going to have the following options: 11 attack 4 damage, 10 attack 5 damage, or 9 attack for 6 damage. That's pretty nasty. Also, his defensive SP isn't effected by penetrating damage. If only he had indom, he'd be a complete monster. He's overshadowed by the SR, but is still a very strong brawler in his own right.
so wait, when he is KO'd. do you just click him to his first KO click or click him for how much damage he took into his KO dial before putting him on his card and healing him each turn?
For 150pts this is not bad. His DV may be kind of soft but he's got a nice deep dial and that damage potential is high. If he comes back late game there is a lot of potential to take the match no matter how many points you've given up.
Say, if you possessed him with Ion, how would Impervious work with his special defense power? Would they stack? Or is ignore still being considered a damage reducer?

Reason: Realized the wording isn't "when he would be ko'ed" it is when he is ko'ed

How I understand it is that you keep clicking him for the full damage, then just keep healing him 1 click per turn until he's back to at least click 6.
Here's some questions of my own though(apologies for the length): 1. For those commenting on his lack of Indom, is it really necessary when figures like this can heal every turn? 2. What is counted as Hindering, just green squares, or also water terrain? 3. With quite a few maps with either/both, he'd be able to come back almost anywhere, so can he be resurrected next to an enemy, and if so, is placing him an action, or could he still attack too?

Reason: Double posted the quote
From the 2014 Core Rulebook, p. 4, "Dealing Damage:"
"When your character hits an opposing character
with an attack, your character deals damage. The
damage dealt to the opposing character is equal
to your character’s damage value. Whenever a
character takes damage, that character’s player
turns—or clicks—the character’s combat dial in
the clockwise direction once for each 1 damage
taken. Each click will reveal a new set of numbers
in the stat slot.If a character’s dial is turned and
KO symbols appear, the character is defeated and immediately
removed from the game."
Based on this, I believe that you stop turning the dial at the first KO click (#9). Remember that you can't bring SG back into play until the beginning of the turn when he reaches click #6, so 3 full turns after his KO. RAW, there is no reason why Grundy cannot be placed next to an opposing character, or cannot be given an action on that turn.
From Terrain, p. 12:
"HeroClix has five types of terrain: clear, hindering, water, blocking, and elevated."
SG could not be placed in water terrain -- it is a distinct type of terrain that is hindering for movement purposes. Grundy's card does not specify printed hindering terrain, so a Smoke Cloud square that is present at the beginning of SG's player's turn would be fair game for placing Grundy.
Wouldn't his Defense special power activate on pushing damage, too? If so, that's effectively Indomitable, since that power will always have Grundy ignoring at least one damage.

No, because the core rulebook says, "Game effects
that evade, reduce, ignore, or transfer damage
do not affect pushing damage unless the effect
specifically says it does."
