I agree that he looks too powerful for a Days of Future Past era NC, but there's nothing beyond what a more experienced Kurt would be capable of: high attack/PS reps the surprise factor as much as it does his training; instead of SS he relies on high defense values to reflect the frequent inability of opponents to land a hit (recalling it took it majorly advanced sentinel to actually take him out); he charges in heroically instead of jumping around with HSS; and it's about time we got an NC with WP on at least part of the dial.
The only part where he deviates too much is that prob power. After all, it covers everyone involved given there's no specification that he be the only target (or even a target) of the attack. But that said, comic accuracy does not, and in some ways should not, dictate clix design. With this figure we have a very playable but not overdone or "cheese" version of the character. I'm happy enough with that given the relative paucity of great quality, cost effective game pieces among the X-Men.

I see what you're saying, think of it this way though: It's kind of like Defend, Nightcrawler ports over to save his comrades from the attack, or ports into the enemies face to blind/confuse them. Sounds like Kurt to me! I'm glad to see this guy, I haven't really liked any of the Nightcrawlers since Clobberin' Time, always felt designs limited themselves to mimic Clobberin' Time Kurt, a popular design and at the time the best they could do with standard powers, but not really the true blue elf. This one really uses special powers to make him unique and play like Nightcrawler really should.
What I like is that he effectively gets a 6 square charge while carrying and no movement penalty from the carry. To charge 6 squares while carrying normally, a figure would need a 16 movement. He will get your main attacker into position while also being your secondary attacker. He and the Wolverine from this set are gonna be BEST friends. Nighty, here, will also make great use of Wolverine's empower. Awesome.
Nice piece! I like the sculpt, basic but nice. My favorite marvel character after wolverine and magneto. I dropped some money for him and some other pieces from this set. Looking forward to using him.
First: can someone please correct the wording on his Movement SP? Geez. Second: fielded this elf for the first time today and all of my excitement prior to release was confirmed. To me he's the best one out there and by no means feels like rotten cheese (WoS BenCrawler, whom some of you still play ... which is sad ... on many levels.) For 80 Points he's everything you expect from Kurt. There are a growing number of pieces with Empower these days and Kurt is their best friend. Love this piece and as I was opening my case I kept saying, "I'm gonna be so mad if I don't get Nightcrawler." He was in the last pack I opened. Perfect

Loved the dial since it was first released, and picked him up the other day. I had two thoughts, one which I had seen was on here.
Nightcrawler and Cerise sounds like fun. But then I got to thinking a bit more.
Nightcrawler, Longshot WXM and Lei-Kung the Thunderer. Then, and yes I know the groans, but BoS with three hammers. Willpower hammer, Steal energy hammer and Possible Exploit weakness hammer as well and move about as needed. I felt this would be quite a fun, quick and gonna hit you team.
