EVERYONE WORKS FOR ME: Kingpin can use Mastermind. He can use it normally, or once per turn he can use it to transfer damage to any friendly character, regardless of point value and adjacency.
I understand Kingpin can use Mastermind. But, it says normally, or once per turn he can transfer it to any friendly regardless of point value or adjacency.
Does this mean he can either use Mastermind for the entire turn normally, or only use it once per turn to do it the special way it describes, then not be able to use regular Mastermind after?
He either uses it normally... or he loses it and can use it ONCE per turn to deal it to any friendly (of lower point value) anywhere on the map.
Say he get hit, you activate the ONCE PER TURN and mastermind it to something else. Same turn, he gets hit again... he has to take the damage, cause he lost mastermind completely.
All has to do with the "Can use it normally OR ...."

I'm not saying you're wrong, but where in the power do you see it saying he can't use it anymore if he uses the special part? It still says he can use Mastermind (period). The power doesn't counter itself. It's not "gone" just because he used it.
Once per turn it doesn't matter about adjacency, other than that he can use it normally.

Re-read the trait again, there is NO PERIOD after it says he can use it normally, its a comma followed by the word "OR"...
**EVERYONE WORKS FOR ME: Kingpin can use Mastermind. He can use it normally, or once per turn he can use it to transfer damage to any friendly character, regardless of point value and adjacency.**
Now had it said:
EVERYONE WORKS FOR ME: Kingpin can use Mastermind. He can use it normally, **AND** once per turn he can use it to transfer damage to any friendly character, regardless of point value and adjacency.
Then I would agree with the power letting him use it do transfer to anyone anywhere, and then using it again the same turn normally. But it says NORMAL or SPECIAL... it doesn't say **AND**, which would allow him to use it that way.
Its either "normal mastermind" **OR** Special mastermind.
He can use it normally and transfer damage to anyone lower point that's adjacent, **OR** he can use it once per turn to mastermind the damage to anyone that friendly anywhere on the map. He doesn't have BOTH abilities... that's why it says **OR** and not **AND**

I agree that in standard English, the use of the word "or" implies two mutually exclusive options. But I also believe that the use of a period to end that first sentence implies that the designers wanted Kingpin to be able to just use Mastermind, period. That's why they didn't say "Kingpin can use Mastermind once per turn. [Period.] When he does, he can use it to transfer damage to any..."
So just like the AV Red Skull (way back in the day) who had the word "or" in his power changed to "and", I expect to see this guy in the Player's Guide in 2015.
